K MOD ANNOUCES NEW ADDITION

KMOD, manufacturer of snowmobile suspensions, is excited to announce that Budd Holt, owner of Top Cat Modz and formally the customer relations specialist for Timbersled Products has accepted to join KMOD to help facilitate their growth demand and allow them to transition into an upcoming larger product line.

Kevin ,comments how this unique merger came about,

“Amber Holt, of Backcountry Basics, called me last year looking for some help on her Turbo 1000 sled; she was seeking to remedy suspension issues that would allow her to gain better control out of her sled while climbing steep terrain. I installed a new Gen II suspension in her Twisted Mini Panther sled and was very impressed with the build that her husband Budd had done. Everything was professional and first class, from the attention to detail of the original breakdown of the sled for the powder coating process to the final fit and finish of the turbo install. This particular build I had previously admired at Snow West’s MOD sled show and where it received The Editor’s Choice award.

Through his wife, Amber, I got to know Budd. It was a pleasure to talk to someone who had the same passion for snowmobiles as I. He has a genuine concern for customer satisfaction and good business ethics. His attention to detail is exceptional and he is very knowledgeable in all aspects of snowmobiles and modifications. If anyone has experienced any time around Budd Holt, you know that he is honest, straight forward and he will back up what he says. The same is true for his wife Amber.
They are good individuals and I’m glad to have their association and assistance with my company’s future growth.”

Budd, recently took the opportunity to come to Idaho Falls to work for a large steel/recycling company and happens to be residing in the Firth area, which is also home for KMOD. With the addition of Budd Holt, KMOD will be able to expand their latest tested technology and release a larger product line without sacrificing their current reputation of being personable and producing quality.

Here is a picture of the KMOD Arctic Cat Conversion Kit. This is installed on my clinic sled which is a 156" AC M1000 .

Here is the "Twisted Mini Panther" M1000 Turbo Sled shortly after we had installed the KMOD Gen II. This sled is set at 8lbs which is approximately 350HP and I weigh 130lbs (150 full gear).

I am very pleased with my KMOD suspensions.

Let me share a particular experience a week after the KMOD Gen II was installed on my Twisted Turbo M1000.

The KMOD Gen II performed AMAZING under all throttle/terrain scenarios while riding in Revolstoke. I had to "curb" my climbs by early afternoon due to the fact I was low on fuel and had used my reserve. This was the first ride on my "Twisted Mini Panther" that the entire days experience I did not second guess how the sled would handle on uneven or steeper terrain. BEFORE installing the KMOD, I had developed a bad apprehensive habit of backing out of the throttle in order to maintain control of the sled especially when approaching boost which resulted in a "Gong Show" most days and I was exhausted half way through a ride. Even though I was immediately pleased on the first ride experience after the KMOD install, realistically, it was about about 4 rides later that I was ably to "unlearn" those hesitant habits and TRULY TRUST this suspensions capabilities. Once I overcame this I was able to ride "wide open" consistently & confidently while "in boost"... ALL DAY. The result was being able to RELAX & HAVE FUN!

When I say FUN, it probably was an understatement for my enthusiasm that day. For my friends who know me, the Mini's "WHOOOHOOO'S" were heard clear to Quebec that day. Though I do not speak French, it was clearly interpreted what I meant! Those of you that can relate to my post and have at some point experienced, "That Perfect Ride", and how it exposes the bursting feelings of addiction inside of us as the sun fades over the horizon! The KMOD GEN II in combination with my M1000 Twisted Turbo has provided this level of riding experience for me and has ever since!
