K MOD new 4 position QUICK coupler

Sneak Peek of the new K MOD 4 position QUICK coupler for 2012-2013 season.
We have been testing this new coupler design all year and have come up with a 4 position quick coupler that can be adjusted in a few seconds. Just grab the coupler with one hand and turn.
It has 4 levels of coupling. We have added an even milder setting for a Caddie type ride and a more playful front end.
The 4 positions are in sequence and numbered, making each position easily identified, even when covered in snow.
This will be standard on all the new suspensions and kits for the 12-13 season, and an upgradable option for all K MOD skids in the field.

This is one of K MOD’s many new refinements for the coming year, so stay tuned.

Thanks, Kevin

#1 is the mildest and is 30% coupled. This position is for running down the trail and playing with a lively feel, it is very compliant on the bumps for a smooth soft ride.
#2 is the same as last year’s mildest setting. It couples for 50% and is very good for boon docking and tree riding with a fair amount of climbing. It will help keep it on plane with a level vehicle attitude. This setting allows a rider to “get in and out” of the throttle while maneuvering around trees and obstacles and avoid the unpredictable wheelie. This is a great all around setting for stock engines or lower boost pump gas turbos.
#3 is 70 % coupled and the vehicle will handle very similar to #2 with better wheelie control to overcome steeper and more aggressive terrain. This setting will take on 90% of the hills that you want to climb. Use this setting if you like to take the bumps aggressively, it allows the rails to maintain a flatter attitude in the moguls. #3 is great for hole shots and controls traction less wheelies if you like to line up with your buddies. Better control for boost over 12 lbs.
#4 is full coupling and intended for aggressive climbing. It will plant the skis and stay on plane in steeper conditions. As in all the less aggressive positions it is easy to “get in and out” of the throttle for technical maneuvers in the steep and a rider can still side hill easily like in the other positions.
All 4 positions will overlap with each other, once you find your” happy zone” you will find that you can ride several terrains and conditions with the same setting or re adjust in seconds for different terrain or snow conditions.
All coupling percentages are approximate and can be changed with different mounting and strap adjustment. These percentages apply to the full skid and the conversion.

Great Job KMOD! VERY nice fit & finish!

<O:p</O:pKMOD suspensions combined with the Raptor package is unbeatable and the very best in aftermarket IMO! This is my third season running the KMOD/RAPTOR packages and products in varies track lengths, chassis, and HP applications together.
<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

My favorite part and why I have NO problem endorsing these guys as an instructor. Their products work great in all terrain applications for the smaller rider like myself at 130lb & 5'6" . This year I ran a full set up on my XF T1100 (short track) with the Speedwerx engine enhancements and high HP settings and NO issues in handling or climbing. Yet, I could turn around and put a 250lb 6'4" student on my sled with just a few turns of adjustments in SECONDS! This convenience was more than I sought out for three years back when I originally met Kevin Bolinder when trying to just find a means to keep the front of my M1000 Turbo sled down. Now, I have more than I could have wanted in a fully adjustable skid that makes my daily career easier when loaning my personal sled out! A suspension that works for my students and I with almost no effort to adjust!

<O:p</O:pI do not post much anymore in the forums due to I am very busy these days, and my free time is family time now, but I wanted to take the time to truly endorse two great products. I know people will get on here and may comment "yeh she's sponsored, she has to say that". The truth is quiet opposite actually, I have been offered bigger aftermarket packages by other manufactures in the suspension aftermarket area through the years.Though I am very grateful for those gestures of generous offers, I chose these guys, KMOD & RAPTOR for my aftermarket needs, they didn't choose me.

<O:p</O:pOne thing I have come to know in our three year working relationship together, Kevin and Jake take constructive feedback as a means to better their product. Not all companies take well to this and had been a underlying reason I have quietly walked away from working relationships in the past. I do not believe in endorsing a product if it is "given" to you just to have that product at zero fiscal cost. Kevin and Jake have produced what has become a personal fitting product for not only me but other riders of my size. NOW I can confidently promote to anyone knowing these guys took several R&D days out of their time with me to make it happen. They did not hand me a product and say, “go sell it”. In fact, I don’t think I have ever heard those words from EITHER of them ironically! They HAVE said OFTEN, “WHAT DID YOU THINK?!”... With ALWAYS an anticipating pauses. It is really nice NOT to be forced to ride what works for the majorities (200lb plus guys) and have a custom fitting suspension. In my line of business as an instructor I HAVE to be able to ride everything at anytime any brand, model, any aftermarket mix...sometimes even trail, workhorse wide tracks, & vintage! Doing so, my chiropractor has become a family friend as a result! However, what I CHOOSE to ride on my time is different. I think these guys LEAD the AFTERMARKET suspension industry mainly because they have this open mindedness that has made their product readily adaptable FOR EVERY consumer as an individual. They ARE the FIRST suspension/shock company I had ever worked with that actually take the aggressive costly steps needed to accomplish this intregrity of service and product before releasing a product for public purchase. They do an enormous amount of field testing and R&D together for the complete product package option.

<O:p</O:pKMOD & RAPTOR have an added focus to sell a line of suspensions/shocks that work for smaller riders less than 130lbs (wives/girlfriends/teenagers). Yes, we the "little people" are a small market in comparison...that is for right now. Build us the right products and more will come out to purchase it! These guys got that!

<O:p</O:pSo at that, please take time to try one or your buddies KMOD/RAPTOR set ups, or if you run into me you may ride one of my set up’s.... You may be pleasantly surprised! I have yet to hear a consumer complain after their KMOD/RAPTOR product purchase as well....and I hear it all (good, bad, and the really ugly!).

<O:p</O:pThank you everyone for your time to read this, these guys deserve a longwinded review,<O:p</O:p
