well i did it after 10 cats i finally jumped ship sold my 09 m1000 163, and bought a 2011 pro 163 guess i'll need a new handle![]()
there has been issues with doo oil tanks warping and the caps not closing tight enough.
i consider cat to be the dark side, not polaris.
That's doo tho, not poo. And there's several companies that make billet oil caps to solve that problem. So what's cat's rational behind a mag oil tank? Seems over-engineered. Apparently the plastic tank worked too good, had to change it.

thanks for the support have all ways rode cats so i am a little worried about the flack im gonna get from my buddys but looking forward to a sled thats gonna live up to my expections,1m 900 did m1000 didn't,ate belts poor fuel economy,and under preformed on the hills.could have lived with the first two but the hill climbing was the deal breaker good by to cat for now.![]()
The arctic cat oil tanks were notorious for warping around the cap threads. I had the issue on my 09 m8, couldn't get the cap back on.
Unfortunately many of the Polaris tanks and caps are in fact warped and do leak. Mine is one of them and was covered under warranty. Not a huge deal, although oil dripping on your clutch guard is never a good thing.
