Just some day dreaming

Been a pretty slow few days at the Old mine for work the last couple days, so I've had plenty of time to day dream. Of coarse with the opening of the auto show in Detroit yesterday my imagination was kick started

After running a SB assault for a few seasons and then moving over to my pro I've come to get used to a few things that I love the pro for, but a few that I miss about the shorter heavier built sled

What I was dreaming about, and I know this topic has been up before, but it's a 144" pro with some added reinforcement

Is love to see when a new chassis comes out for their to be 144" offering. Would make a deadly 600/800 rmk/SB assault platform

Thinkkng a narrower front end for the rmk version, with some heavier valved shocks, a rear coil over skid running a 2.5" track. A little added cooling over the pro, factory rail and tunnel reincement, and heavy duty bumpers. A decent set of scratchers, and a good set of snow evacuating running boards, not the crap that comer with the SB, and I'm not sure what else yet

I've been throwing the quick drive vs chain case idea around in my head and haven't come to a conclusion for what I'd rather see yet. I'm thinkkng the QD could work

With the 137" switchbacks now in the 430 range, I'm thinking with a little ingenuity and possibly things like the carbon fiber over structure and new light weight components on the 2015 axys models like the headlight and so on such a sled could be factory built at 415-420 pounds. Putting it right where the current pro site

Should easily make it the most fun 144" sled off the factory line

Thoughts?

That does sound like a blast. Didn't Phatty build some thing like that a couple years ago? Or was it a 150"?

Like this? It's not 415lbs, but a fun sled none the less. 12 switchback assault with a 146x2.5 camo extreme, Zbroz 39", B&M fab boards. I rode this sled stock the first year, 11/12 season. Since then it's been a work in progress to suite my riding style better.

Been wanting this exact sled for 2 years now. For the 1 trip a year I make west it sure is nice to have a 155, but I think id have a little more fun in the U.P. of Michigan riding on the exact sled you described.

Agreed! I need a Polaris version of a Backcountry X w/ a 144 or 146 2.5" track. Come on Polaris! The 155 and 163 RMK's your making us flatlands ride in the deep LES of the Michigan's flatlands are all catching fire and burning down (sarcasm).
