Just got this email....is this true?

Its inscribed around the outer edge of the coin.
I believe we discussed this a while back. It turned into a freedom-of-religion argument.
If I remember correctly, the people without religion thought that "In God we Trust" didn't need to be displayed because those who have religion trust in God anyways, and wouldn't need it to be displayed. And those who don't, don't want to see it on their money because its meaningless to them.
The people with religion, thought it should be displayed because it was one of the founding principles of our country and that we should all trust in God...or something like that.
Not trying to sound biased, I sit on the fence on this one, that's all I can remember from it back then.

but it is required by law now, it would take act of congress to kill it.
we can argue about health reform, about cap and trade or even aminsty, but not this.
now if the US currency is made to be irrevelent and we go to a global currency we can reasonably assume no refrences to any one diety will be made, unless perhaps the false diety of "mother nature", in the form of "green" or other. that would be huge.
