just broke my rear damper 166"

Are you talking about the rear track shock-absorber?

Like Sean said.. do you have pics of what is broken?

Is yours the standard model with black steel shock-absorber or the snowcheck model with the rebuildable aluminum shock-absorber?

Weren't all the 166 sleds snowchecks? Every 166 I have ever seen uses a different rear shock than the 151 and 155 sleds.

05 151s and 05 166s got all the good stuff

05 159s and all the 06s got the cheap shocks

Sorry guys for my bad english.

I am talking about my rear track shock-absorber , the rear one of the two , the one without a spring.
And yes a got a 05 166"

Well that's news to me, lol. I've seen multiple 05 151s for sale on here with all the premium goodies included.

Either way, the Ryde Fx RAPPID edition clicker rear track shock is no longer available from Polaris:face-icon-small-sad It's been superceeded to the cheap steel shock. The clicker was a $450 shock when it was listed last time I checked, this new part number has a list price of $106. The premium front shocks and front track shock are still available however, for a larger price.

Depends on how much you wanna spend man, you can go simple and get a rear shock off a dragon..

they are all the same length from a 151,155,159,163,166..so you have lots of choices to get one..

You can get the ryde fx clicker shock which is a great shock, or the walker Evans shocks...if you find a good set of fox zero shocks, they are great as well...

BUT...you can get the best shocks around and if you have weak stock torsion springs, you will have a terrible ride (prolly why yours broke I'm assuming), so invest around $130 USD and get the better torsion springs, i promise you, you WILL love the performance with themes torsion springs..

And move your rear scissor arm back 5/8" ;)

Your welcome lol
