Yes its on the I90 corridor, about an hour from my front door till your on the hawk.. There are much steeper and better places to ride, but this is so easy and quick to get to..exploring the area for some soon to be night rides..

Hmmm, that's a good looking office ! Especially the "quarter pipe / bowl" snow module on the right side of the first photo ! Damn ! I think I would've tried a 180 off of that ! That's some unreal terrain for the Hawk right there :face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap

Are you starting to love your Hawk as it deserves to be loved ?

Thanks for sharing these pics ! More people should do that !

Was wondering if any one was out yesterday

Saw the mountain from work and went

sigh.....

Nice photos, is that one woods on the kit?

Darryl, what are you doing with your inside leg when you're carving ?

The best way I've found to drive a Hawk in the 12-18" powder (deep powder (18" or more) is different) is to put my inside turn knee in between my forearms while I turn, close to the bar pad. This way it doesn't create any drag and you still have a front forward attack position with your arms. Leave it on your footpeg and you can't lean as much and you'll feel a lot of drag, leave it dragging in the back and it's gonna want to pull you back and off your seat, creating drag again plus it's dangerous to get your feet caught in the track.

Here's a pic of what i'm trying to describe here, sorry for poor quality, it's a screenshot off of my 1st video of '08.

What did Tim do to his track kit to make it work right ?

I think Ive tried several different techniques, but not the one you have described..I jammed my hip at hawkfest last year and it still hurts like crazy after a few hrs riding.. I learned the hard way not to stick your leg out like a bike.
Im starting to think the height of the seat might be a deterrent for the carving, but man I love it on the trails and everywhere else..I can carve fairly well but have issues with a higher speed rip into a tight corner or donut, or even holding a tight carve, she keeps wanting to pop upright or slide out in the rear, or fall over.. I got alot of practice picking this thing up..
I think most of my issue is in my head. I just need to pitch it on its side, but most every time I do that I end up on my lid.. That makes for a long, sore day..I would say we had at least 18" of wa state thick powder yesterday
More practice is needed..I keep seeing yourself spinning around at Hawkfest and the mcbros pulling donuts on steep hill sides.. I know it can be done..
One thing I have learned is snow conditions are everything...and Im way more out of shape than I ever realized..

plus theres not enough sledders up there to try and convert....

He's not telling you that the sky's all lit up by his Cyclops helmet light, that's way past my bed time.:face-icon-small-con

And as you can see there are no Twoski marks worth chastising.:face-icon-small-hap
