union pay is 35.25 for dozer excavator operators if you run a excavator with a 6yd bucket are larger your suppose to be paid 37.23 this is a union rule. And yes alot of people work the north slope that are from montana idaho and other surronding areas most are non union and work for PEAK OILfield services.

That is way above what anyone would be paid around me. Going rate is 15 - 20/hr max. but there are no jobs out there due to this economy.

how difficult is it to get a good job up there running a big excavator or Dozer?

So whats the deal, weather your running a D4 or a D11, its $35.25?

This is a bit of a hijack.....sorry, but in NW No Dak you can walk on @ $29 if you have a pulse & can pass a piss test.

Yes Mafesto im originally from down by mitchell and got a powerline job up here in NW no dak. Its crazy up here there talking the northwest corner of the state is going to have 2 oil rigs per square mile. Pipe laying, grading, hauling gravel, hauling oil, water, theres lots of money to be made up here. If theres any Journeyman lineman that want to come this way PM me.

yep it doesnt matter if your running a D4 or D10 its $35.25 unless your doing finishing work then it jumps up to 37.23 an hour. this just changed last year.
Dont know if a D11 is high scale I havent ran one yet let alone seen one yet, but there are some up in the fort knox gold mine area.
