Jetting 08 800R

Has anybody jetted a 08 summit 800R ? Just wondering if this would help the fluctuating rpm's while in a steep climb ? Some people say they are jetted rich.

I would presume that you have done the clutch wieghts in the primary already, because this is the leading cause of rpm flucation, usually not enough pin weight. Had a gentleman come and ask if i had some some weights for the primary when i was in McCall Id. because he was was having the same problem, just happens i take my clutch tuning kit on sled trips, sold him some weights and later he had told it was much better, but could stilll use more.

Yes I have 18 grams on clicker 4 with Dynamo Joes QR-5 helix with a 130/350 primary spring and ride 3000 to 6000. The sled is 146X with the powder max track. On steep climbs the rpm wanders from 8200 down to 7600 or 7700 and then back up. Any suggestions ?

The primary rollers and buchings are only good for about 4-500 miles, then the RPM's begin to get inconsistant. Check those rollers.:beer;

Well I have the same helix as you and run 16 grams, 160/350, 20/49 on a 163 from 3-7k. I don't lose any rpm climbing, clutching is nuts on.

I have a 146" with 21/45 so maybe it is the gearing ? I had the 160/350 but went with the 130/350 as it gets rid of some of that over rev condition at slow speeds with the lighter spring on the bottom.
