Just wondering what your final jet size ended up to be. Just took mine on a short ride, didn't give it the nuts yet Im waiting for my EGT's to arrive.
Thanks Nick

I put in needles from an 07 and a .02 spacer to help with the midrange lean.I am just suprized that the mains are that low.

mines an 04 not sure of how diff the 06 likes its jetting but im runnin a 370 and 380 and raised needles one clip....but like i said..thats an 04. runs strong...might actually be a lil rich but im ok with that :)

High Voltage. do yourself a big favor and do not even install your new egt's on your sled until you have it dialed in... That may sound strange, but here is the explination. Egt's will read different on every sled depending on exactly where in the pipe they are installed among other factors. Just because your buddy is "safe" at say 1300, you may burn down at 1200. Or visa versa. Point is, read you plugs and your wash to get your sled dialed in to where it runs correctly. Now look at your egt temps when you are happy with the way it runs. That is your baseline temp for YOUR motor. Hope this helps you and makes sense to you.

Thanks for the feedback! I know you can't tune by egt's alone but I would like to see the change in temps as I change jets or needle position. Nick

IMHO- thats BS...on a 2 cylinder single pipe ski-doo...1200 degrees is a were you put the "base line limit"....the probes can only go so far out (short runners on Y-pipe) and can only go so far in (rave assembly)....the main advantage is the in the mids...why gurgle along or squeek one cuz your not sure WTF is going on??? gauges arent the cure all..BUT I would NEVER mod a 2 stroke without them...BJ

827 jetting

Mines an 05 Renegade X with the powertec in it which I think is what you have on the 06.
Riding at sea leval with low comp. domes I have the summit needles one up from the richest clip setting with a .010 shim to split the difference in the clip positions.Bottom position was too fat and the other too lean so the .010 shim worked perfect.400 mains.
EGTs are just a fuzz below 1200degs in the mids at around 6000 rpm and once on the mains temp drops to about 1050-1100degs
I have run it at -25F like this so I know for sure I am safe at that setting.
