Jerky clutch engagement Silber Axys

My silber axys turbo has a really jerky clutch engagement just doesnt seem to be right. Is anyone else having this issue?? Otherwise its a great kit no complaints. I dont know if the guy that installed my kit didnt install the clutching properly.

Thought the same thing. It really loads the engine out of the hole. Wasnt enough time to play with it but I think a new primary spring with a lower initial force will help.

The new beehive almond spring they are using is engaging around 4300rpm + for me. I'm using the SSI weights instead of the Venom weights that came with it. Stock helix 40deg.

Interesting that you management is only 4300 with that set up.. I was told by SSI that the design of those weights increase the engagement so I had him give me a 125/310 spring with them.. I guess I will install them tonight and see.

Not an axys, but I went down in primary spring engagement because engagement was too high for me and my riding style, too much spin out of the whole, hitting too hard at the start.. wanted a more progressive engagement. I'm sitting around 3900-4000 now on a newer belt with proper deflection

4300 is the low side, it's 4300-4600. Prob closer to 4600 in the garage. Just varies on the mtn on what angle of slope I'm on. A little too high for what I like. Cause it does dig and trench out of the hole with that high of engagement. I am just worried if I go down to 4000 that I might get a bog? I have a 125/340, 120/310, and 140-335 springs I can try out.

What is the spring rate of that Beehive almond spring the kit comes with?

The Almond beehive measures out close to the Almond/Red 165/310

I have a SSI 125/310 that I am going to try..

I have heard the SSI weights are having a rough engagement due to the cut, I guess I will find out.

Ok, this seasons kit has different springs. The pink is way to stiff, you would like t much better with a Almond/Red spring and also you could run less weight with it. Also a Black/White or Black/Silver secondary.

Your local Polaris dealer should have these in stock.

Great thanks for the info. Im not sure what helix angle is being ran presently ill have to check.

I went team blue which is 150/310... engagement a little lower than the 165 lb... lower engagement in the garage that's for sure. I would say around 3900-4200 conditions depending.

Running the 5 lb spring which is 7 lbs of boost.... again this is on the Pro kit with a belt drive.

Just installed the SSI Lime Green 125/310 last night with the SSI weights set at 84 grams and the engagement is beautiful.. Right around 3900 and very smooth, just like stock.

have you tried a new belt by any chance, it could have a low spot
