JB Weld on Aluminum ?

My Silencer rubbed through my Wilwood brake assembly to the point that it now has a pin hole leak.

Will JB Weld hold to the aluminum brake assembly as long as I get all the DOT 4 brake oil cleaned off ?? I'm thinking I can build it up over a couple days......

I found an assembley on Ebay this morning so I do have a solution here in a week or so....

I'm just wondering if I'm wasting my time with the quick JB fix..... Having your brakes just fail on the mountain gets a little squirly......

If u get i clean enuf it will probably only be a temporary fix. It could last longer tho. Ive had some good luck with JB, but when its on a critical part it is not worth the risk IMO.

As much pressure as there will be in the calier, I am sure that you will just blow it off there. I guess you could try it, just don't rely on having any brakes. Not for long anyway. I'd be shopping for sure.

get it fixed, JB weld is magic, but that might be pushing it, apply a large amount and it may honestly outlast the sled, but its not worth loosing brakes over!! go get it welded, or just replaced.
