Jaws can on '10 Assault, enought back pressure, anyone have issues?

Got a buddy that was running the Jaws can on his 2010 assault and at about 1500 miles burnt it down. He got it rebuilt now under warranty and was wondering if he should put it back on as he is scared that they do not have enough back pressure? Anyone have any info that can support this or anything to say about them? Thanks

Was the can specifically designed for the 2010 Assault on a NON RACE sled??

If not... don't run it IMO... We already know that that engine is very sensitve to changes in backpressure.

Shows on their website that it is designed specifically for the updated 2010 Dragon from Poo, shows it maintains stock hp and back pressure. This is off their website but cant say it is accurate or not? Kinda sucks if he can't run it as he has a perfectly good $250 part just laying around now, but if the warranty goes up on the sled I would say be safe then sorry. Thanks for your post

I had a jaws can on mine since new, 1800 miles and no issues yet at high or low elevations, seems to work great with the slp pipe as well

I agree with MH, I have witnessed several aftermarket cans with stock pipes on the dyno and found no increase in power, they just typically have a loss of power. The more the aftermarket can flows the lower the hp ouput is? the polaris stocker works better & makes more power then any after market can I have seen on the dyno at BMP. The only benefits are that they are lighter and louder.

Now the after market pipes on the other hand do work well with the stock can and make some actual power increases, the BMP pipe or pipe mod with the stock polaris can has a very nice increase in power. If you check out Jims blogs or reports from Dynotech Research there is some very good info to be found.

I believe SLP's pipe and can together tested slightly better then the stock set up up top but lacked slightly in the mid range where it doesnt matter too much, but they are much lighter and of good quality. Oh wow it just came to me that polaris must equalize the exhaust temp. pressure with a gizmo!
