Blue Lakes on Saturday was such a nice day. First ride out there this season. It is ALMOST ready for the season but unfortunately not there yet. The rocks are showing their faces still along with the weeds. We avoided the landmines but the worst part was when boondocking, the drop offs near the creeks and gullies are sudden and extreme, need a dumper to fill then in. Avoid the exposed bowls as a nasty ice layer exists. Best snow was around upper Blue in the trees.

Today at Yuba was actually great! Still good coverage along with a foot of fresh. Just better conditions up north at Yuba or LTS...way more snow.

Good thing you’ve been going on weekends like you do , because we’ve been lacking in the usual mid week availability of Pow a lot are used to or anticipate. We’re actually down on snowpack average right now.
Yes, we're currently in a lull as far as storms. We did however get an earlier start than last year. If the snow is good, you can count on me taking a vacation day to ride mid-week.
