Jamie Bellman billet TRA??

Does anyone have any information on this clutch? Has anyone used one in the mountains or know of where a guy might find one to buy?

Thanks!

Josh and I have been using this one for 4 yrs now without a single complaint.

Yes. In my opinion after spending 3 yrs working with the tra 3 as a comparison.
There is NO comparison. JBs clutch is what the tra should be.

My questions stem from an issue that I'm running into and have run into before. I'm wondering about the current tra clutch. Bearing surface looks lacking by a lot. And I'm starting to question how true they are.

Gus, what are you seeing out of the billet clutch that you like a lot better?

What about the race clutch? What makes it perform better?

Are the gains of epithet clutch related to better bushing area? More strength/rigidity? Or better machine work?

Any info is appreciated!

Thanks!

Jamie strengthened the faces both with thickness and design along with the material. Its also a straight face not a convex . bearing area is OEM for the tra 2.
Yes I believe a larger diameter post would better suit our needs but the cost to produce is extreme. hence why all super clutchs are built off oem diameters of shafts and bearings !

the snox race forged moveable version is ONLy different in th materail of the moveable sheave. its convex faces, and all wear componenets are the same.

they do however come in 2 different post lengths for the tra 3. same with the forged tra 2's from the 03 04 800 mods.

That and the 08 600 rs clutchs are what I am comparing Jamies too. Ive got no love for the newer taper locked no adjustable version on the oem xp

What is the theory of a straight face vs a changing angle?

Do you think all gains with the clutch are related to the thicker and stronger material then?
Or is it better because the machining is exact vs OEM tolerance?

Thanks!

I'm gonna get ahold of his clutch sheaves. Build a complete second primary identicle to my current known good combo. Drag it too the hill, make 3 hard pulls on a big hill, record speeds and temps, swap clutches and try again. I will report the results.
