Is there enough snow this year? I remember about 20 years ago they spread out straw about half way up the mountain because of lack of snow. I haven't seen it yet this year but I'd guess the snow will be pretty thin by then.

its not gonna be nearly as good as last year but its been hiding out pretty good, the lack of direct sun on that hill is its saving grace.

FYI, I just saw on the RMSHA Facebook page that the Jackson hillclimbs have been cancelled.......

ATTENTION!!! This unfortunately IS NOT A RUMOR. We were just contacted by the Jackson Hole Snow Devils board and informed that after a long meeting today, that the Jackson Hole Hillclimbs HAVE BEEN CANCELLED. Unfortunately the snow has not held up and with the warm weather it looks like it will not get any better. Mother Nature has been anything but good to us in the west this year concerning snow pack. Please share this post as we want as many people to know as quickly as possible since so many people are traveling and will need to cancel rooms etc... If you need to contact the Snow Devils, please visit their website http://www.snowdevils.org/ where you can find contact info for the board members if you have questions. You will need to contact the Snow Devils with questions as we will not be able to answer questions concerning the WCSHC.

Been going for 20 years and raced in that many also- I cannot remember it ever being cancelled in the history of the event.!!!!
