Jackshaft???

I pulled the secondary on my 2006 RMK 900 for service and thought I should grease the Jackshaft!? There's no grease fitting to be found. Is this the way it's supposed to be on the 2006?

Correct. The bearings are non-grease-able.

Every suggestion I have read on here has mentioned preventative replacement at around 3,000 miles... at 800 miles, you got a looooong way to go before you will need to worry about it.

The 05 Owner's Manual says Lubricate them every 500 miles. Since you have no grease fittings on the 06 I would say check them pre-season then inspect them every 500. A visual inspection of everything under the hood before every ride is a good idea too. You should be checking belt before each ride at the very least.

That's strange, my 06 Switcher 900 has a grease nipple on the shaft cover? Which I broke off on my my first attempt at greasing!!!

That might be the driveshaft you are talking about? My '06 fuse only has a nipple on the driveshaft. And the jackshaft doesn't have any.
