Jackshaft wore into float bowl 04 800HO?

Any one ever come across this....the jack shaft was wearing into the PTO side float bowl. Al l there is here is a reed spacer , then VF3s. The only thing I can think is that whoever installed the carbs last didn't have em pushed forward enough in the boots.
Thanks

When I changed to Vforce 3s, I did not use the reed spacer and it kept the carbs far enough forward to not hit the jackshaft. If you use the spacer and the wider V3s then I have found it to hit the shaft.

What is the most common installation for the VF3s in my sled? I'd just as soon take out the spacers....but not if it's going to defeat the purpose of the aftermarket reeds. Any thoughts BigJohn?

Vforce wants you to remove the spacers so you should are you'll rub another hole in your float bowls.

Before I put it back together without the spacers, I just want to make sure we are talking about the stock spacers that are shown in the BRP parts diagrams, right? Is it just that the VF3s flanges are thicker than stock?
