I get the issue...I uderstand the law...I just do not see the need for a public lynching of strangers when nobody has any real facts in the situation.
BCIL you are all about education....this is how you would have handled this situation?
I personally would have approached them...started a convsersation..got some facts....shared some facts and moved on.
Well of course, you know that's the way I am, but I'm not the one who was up there. Keep in mind, PJ is not the one who called, and not the one who took the picture, he's simply posting up an example. (and a trailer that someone I'm sure recognizes... that one's pretty obvious)
I'm ASSuming that his friend, who works for CDOT has enough common sense that if he says they were tearing up dirt, this is probably true. Up in a plow truck, you'd have a better than average vantage for that kind of thing.
I agree with your way of dealing with it... BUT, nobody but us cares about that. The other side cares about finding a bad guy, and that's all of us. If these guys can't use a it of common sense (do you really need a sign to know that if you're tearing up ground you shouldn't be riding?) then there are repercussions for a lack of concern for the area.
