I get the issue...I uderstand the law...I just do not see the need for a public lynching of strangers when nobody has any real facts in the situation.

BCIL you are all about education....this is how you would have handled this situation?


I personally would have approached them...started a convsersation..got some facts....shared some facts and moved on.

Well of course, you know that's the way I am, but I'm not the one who was up there. Keep in mind, PJ is not the one who called, and not the one who took the picture, he's simply posting up an example. (and a trailer that someone I'm sure recognizes... that one's pretty obvious)

I'm ASSuming that his friend, who works for CDOT has enough common sense that if he says they were tearing up dirt, this is probably true. Up in a plow truck, you'd have a better than average vantage for that kind of thing.

I agree with your way of dealing with it... BUT, nobody but us cares about that. The other side cares about finding a bad guy, and that's all of us. If these guys can't use a it of common sense (do you really need a sign to know that if you're tearing up ground you shouldn't be riding?) then there are repercussions for a lack of concern for the area.

Thanks for starting this Ralph, it should be done every season at this time..to educate.

I agree, at least those that really care would educate themselves and then those educated ones would be able to help educate more people that are not using the same tools.

Its funny....People are too chickenshiit to go up and let them know the rules yet, they will take pictures and trash talk them on the web. Maybe they genuinely didnt know the rules and this would have been a good learning experiance.


It is also funny how Burandt has pictures of himself riding up there last week and people dont complain.

Never saw those. But I imagine that Burandt was probably on Buff pass. He was testing sleds with VOHK. There is enough to ride roads there.

And FYI, I wasn't there or I would have said something. Like BCIL said, I just posted a pic that was sent to me with info. I didn't name names or post plate numbers.

Ill bet you it was just as thin where they left the parking lot as the guy in the first pic. The treehuggers sure have done it.....They get us to turn on each other.
