hi I'm trying to remove my jackshaft so I can replace the inner Chaincase and I can't get the jackshaft out. I've tried putting something solid again the jackshaft on the Chaincase side and beating it through. Didn't work. Does anyone have any hints on how to get this out? And yes the ring holding the bearing is removed. Thanks for any help

go to one stop performance website and in there instruction tab there's a video describing best way to get it out

Yes I watched that video before starting. I followed there directions and still can't get it out. Going to trying applying heat to the tcl tomorrow and beating it again.

yeah I ended up using a little propane torch also Its been a year since ive done it so there video is the best guidance

You have to release the taper lock. You need the right tool to do this. It is a pipe that has slip fit tolerance on the jackshaft so you can tap the end of the taperlock without destroying it. Also on the clutch side remove the clip holding the washer in and heat the TCL housing a fair amount. Then you should be able to tap out the jackshaft.

My buddy snapped his jackshaft on his 14 M8000 on Sunday.
Was going to get parts and fix it on the mountain but started talking to the service guy and totally changed his mind.
