So had a good ride in deep powder this last weekend almost made the ful day and boom. , thought I blew a belt , towed it out and ripped it apart today. Jack shaft is broke right beside the chain case bearing. So here goes , I cringe at not having reverse in a sled this heavy so what are my options. ? Newer updated jackshaft and throw a stronger chain in it while it's opened up. Cat jack shafts are on back order but I really don't want something that is going to break again.any insite would be appreciated. Thanx

Just makes a guy wonder just waiting for it to happen finally went trough a chain now going to looking for a drive shaft to break cat and there pos Chain case would do any thing to put the diamond drive back in.

Try Belanger Racing. He has a great jackshaft.

Or a 3'' track? Just wondering if I need to worry.

The jackshafts break really often on the turbos. It is probably more likely to happen on studded or short lug tracks because they hook up better. That being said, I'd replace the jackshaft with the 2013 or ideally franks before about 3000 miles.

It is a 3 inch track but I dont consider myself a radical rider. I was quite surprised when It broke. What is troubling is tha shaft is around an inch in diameter and it had about a third of that actually holding it together( new break). The rest was wore smooth. Casting flaw maybe ? Just the way they break? Will give that Belanger racing a call.

I have a couple belanger 1100 shafts left but to do a STM Hyvo set or a C3 belt drive you need an 800 shaft. After I got my shafts a couple weeks ago from Frank (2 months to get, not necessarily his fault) I don't think he's making more. It's a lot of work for the love of the sport for him.

Gene just let me know if you do still have jack shafts. Talked to your staff and they are not sure. Will grab one ASAP if it's hd with reverse. Let me know thanks

we have new gen 3 shafts being cut right now, I have switched to another company that can get them done faster and got offered a little better metal for $20.00 more a shaft, the gen 2 shafts are fine but it was a no brainer to spend the extra $20.00 for even better and there is less lead time to get them, we will still be selling all products non stop as we did since last may.

Ok I already talked to Someone from your company you have my number to call when they come in. Gene has one of you shafts in stock but I still haven't heard back from him. If white knuckle doesn't pull through I will take one of yours
