gas prices "over here" is up to 13.50kr/liter. last time i checked one $ was about 6kr wich means $2.25/liter, 3,8 liters to a gallon makes $8.55/gal !!!

ooh, but they lowered beer prices, thats got to count for something!

We have food...they have oil. We need to start taking it to them and leveraging that stuff just like they are to us. Problem is, with the US being a world power, we have to play by all the rules...nobody else does though. And the environmentalists are killing us...they produce no GDP, absorb GDP as a matter of fact and prevent self-sufficiency. And alternative energy? LMAO...where's our surplus energy source? We buy more oil from Canada and Mexico than the middle east, I wonder why they aren't building stuff like that?? Perhaps it has little to do with oil?? I notice the name on one of the fancy towers in Dubai was Trump.

Do we not vote for congress anymore? If we vote the party that is the obstacle to increased supply out of power, in all branches, restrictions will be lifted, the supply will increase, and prices will fall. VOTE! There is no other option. (OK, there is the food for oil thing.) That is a great idea, but can you imagine the liberal outcry. Makes my ears hurt just thinking about it.

I think that if you look at the current Ethanol E85 (food-to-fuel) debate, you can already see that we are the bad guys, no matter what we do. The environmentalist and world welfare types will never let us use our resources in that way.

You just wait till the environmentalist get cold, and they have to get a real jobs. They won't mind coal or nuke, when their kids are freezing. Soccer moms are already starting to feel the pinch, stuck at home with the kids, can't afford to dump them off at some baby sitting activity. Buy stock in Prozac.

WeeTee I see where you are coming from, but what I am getting at is we definately have a corrupt government in one or another and it seems if we do vote the right people to positions they somehow get overruled by big business money. As for the food deal?? Come on that's funny, our surplus is not there either. We are exporting faster than ever...to who? China..probably because we owe the tons of money. I agree we need to take of our country first but we won't because we pick up everyone's charity case while our citizens pay for it.
