how about $600 fill ups then. Deep can you make that money up in general excavating. here in mn it doesn't seem any one has extrea $ to pay for fuel surcharge. so were are mainly leting our equip sit. i'm really between a rock and a hard spot. there isn't many people that have to have a job done. we have only dug three basements this spring with no plans for more in imeadate future

Yes and No! If you a re bidding on a new job, definitly try to fit the fuel price into it somewhere. You have to.

If you are on a job that has already been started, what can you do? just keep at it and try to make your deadlines so your not out anything.

I know work is slow for diggin basements and stuff. You need to shift into bidding on county jobs and commercial jobs. There is always going to be a need to servicing exististing infrastructure, you just need to look in the right place. Go talk to engineers and offer them $$$ for bid opportunites, or to just mention your companies name to their clients. That has been a very good connection to get work for me when I need it.

I am seeing the hard times for sure with you brother! stay strong, and hang in there! Should start to get better this summer. little by little we should be in a more steady market by next summer. nothing like the boom we had, but like it was before.

don't wanne be a real drag but I pay a buck 47 at the pumps fer good stuff

so thats 1 gallons (US) is equal to 3.79 liters
or 5.5713 per gallon
