I have been going through allot of changes. Moved into a new house, finishing up my degree and starting my MBA, and more. Now more than ever everything is getting harder I have decided to sell my sled and trailer and all the money I saved to buy a new sled this comming season just bought a motorcycle. I know its a oxy moron but It cost me $90 a week to fill my truck, and $60 a week to fill my car. Thats a good chunk of change every month. In retrospect it cost me $10 a week to fill my new bike and I drive it in the mornings to school and the wife drives it to work at night. So how I see it I should save enough to pay off the bike and buy a new sled for 2013. I did the math I was spending $80 a week filling my sled this winter. Now I did have the chance to ride every week since the snow started falling and I wont ever regret it but man does it all adds up. The money I have spent on parts and gas just for my sled this year has been monstrous but Its all worth it.

She is allot of fun I kinda want the cold to go away/:scared:

That's a good looking bike you got there! I would look like Kermit the Frog riding a bicycle if I were to ride that thing around :face-icon-small-ton
If you are sled-less next season, you can ride my current sled that is soon to be my backup sled...

V Star 950? I just sold my '08 V Star 1300 to get a bigger touring bike that my wife is more comfortable on. If you ever want to go on a ride just get a hold of me because I'm always ready.

I feel the same way. I havent been able to ride the sled this year because of a shoulder surgery in December so I've been wanting it to warm up so I can ride the bike. It's the first time in recent memory I've been wanting the snow to stop.

Well Like I said we just moved and she kinda got buried in the garage. No april fools I just got sick of sled break downs this season It seems my sled has been towed out to many times and I spent way too much money on repairs this season. But looks like I wont get my wish its dropping white stuff at my house right now. Rmk we still going tomorrow?

Yeah you should see my brother ride it he is 6'6. You would have to make up your mind on a new sled first before I could ride the back up? Im keeping the blue 800 she still runs great.

Yeah I got a deal I couldn't refuse brand new bike for under low book. couldn't even find a used one this cheap. Plus its light enough for the wife and though I miss the sport bike this one rides smooth. Shoulder surgery sucks been there done that last year. Im hoping to get some good rides in this summer.

I dont know about the 950, but the 1300's stock exhaust was so quiet that it was only on there about 2 days. Roadburner Street pro's sound awesome but arent too loud to be annoying.

So will you still drive you bike when it's raining? Did you calculate bad weather days into your math.

I sent you a PM, I hope you respond back. It had some great topics of discussion.

Rain suits are cheap.

I hear ya on gas savings. I drive a car but at 60 miles a day and 25-30 mpg I plan on riding the bike all season to work unless it is downpouring or I work a shift or 6am (I'm scared of deer after smoking one last year). Bike is only a 3 gallon tank but 50 plus per gallon I don't mind that I have to fill up every couple days.

I don't know why I said "would rather", because I actually have one already! I am currently trying to make dragonfreak buy it! I need a bigger car as I try to take on more responsiblites for our trucking company.

Here is my car, it is roughly worth 3,500$. 50 MPG on the free way, 42 around town with the AC on!

And that is a Jetta TDI wagon in the back if you are wondering.. So it's like a bug, but with a bigger trunk because the leg room in the back seat is practically the same.

The background of that picture looks crazy familiar....I think that's my pops old house.

Nice bug btw. I had one in high school that was the same color. only mine was a 74:focus: I think my wife would draw up the papers if I told her she had to ride a bike to work so we could save for my new sled.

hey ACutah, would these be acceptable as per the wife?

I would think this to be the best option! Efficiency of a motorcycle but the safety of 3 wheels! No sliding out on gravel around corners!

The picture of my bug is taken near Boulton Elementary and Dick's Market Bountiful. VV 4th Ward.

The sidecar motorcycle is called a Ural, it retails for 10,000$ brand new.

You know what my wife drives...so no.
That's the house. My parents used to live there.

How the heck do you fit in that? I'm guessing you look out the back seat window. :face-icon-small-win

Surprisingly this is the car I fit best in! I do have the B pillar right in the middle of my head though. I like to call it riding dirty. Not only can one sit behind me, there cannot be any "stuff" behind my chair on the floor, or on the rear seat. There is maybe 2" of room behind my seat and the back row.

acUtah, was the gay factor the same when you went to high school with your bug? I tried "Manning" my car up a bit, powder coating the wheels, tail light tint, blacked out windows, massive sub woofer, ect.... But it still rates pretty high on the gay scale, although the TDI redeems it a little bit.

When I was in school having an old bug was cool. Actually having about any car was cool and we didn't worry about mpg's because gas was a buck. Gay wasn't much of a thought and if you were gay I guess you kept it to yourself. Not anymore:director:
