It's coming. Leaves are starting to change here. Temps have dropped to 80s in the day time. We are pulling the back up sleds out tomorrow night to change plugs, change brake fluid and swap skis. One of my kids left the park brake engaged at Island Park and boiled the fluid. Some how the brake survived. It must not have been on to far. Thought I'd switch to DOT 4 instead of 3. Has a higher heat tolerance. It's coming!!!

We had termination dust (summer is over snow) in July up here in AK. I don't think we ever hit 80 all summer. 2nd coldest July on record (we were the coldest until the last few days when it warmed up). Leaves are turning and some are falling already.....winter is on its way!!!

Witnessed a couple Cottonwood trees shedding leaves into the road today. They both were growing in the ditch so there shouldn't have been a lack of water. Plus a big maple outside the office is browning up.

These Cottonwood were at about 500'!!

I was up at about 4000' last week meeting with the USFS on trail maintenance and the vine maple were definitely hinting of changing colors as well.

Yeah, once they start going, it goes FAST.


We are at 3500 here.
All of the undergrowth and small bushes have all changed. Nothing is green anymore.

Time to see that first snow. LOL
