It's all the fault of fat people

What I don't get are vegetarians....
They try to impress you.."I haven't had meat in five years.." "I haven't had a banana in month, don't see me bragging about it.."
I do love animals, but I just love to eat them more! :D Fun to pet, better to chew!!

Thanks for the new quote in my Sig line!!!

The problem I have with Obesity: You're lifestyle, results in health problems, which mean you spend time in hospitals, emergency rooms, clinics...who pays for that? I have no problem with overweight individuals. If your weight isn't causing chronic (expensive) health problems, so be it. But if you are laid up in a bed because of heart problems resulting from your fat, getting fake knees because yours can't carry your *** around anymore, if you clog an artery with a malted milk ball and need surgery, that is just unnecessary. I know obesity isn't the only cause of these health problems, but it is something we can control.

Some people above me are talking about their "ideal weight profile". I consider "ideal" any size you can be without being sick because of it.

Now, I'm no Saint, I do pig out every once in a while, but I'm not fat, or obese, or whatever you want to call it. The trick is WILL POWER!

With so many things we pay for this would be the last of my worries. I know quite a few overweight and obese people and there taking care of there self just fine as a mater of fact there helping pay for a lot of skinny people on welfare and all the health care for illegal immigrants

I know what you mean, and I do have overweight friends, and an obese brother, I really don't care. They are nice, and keep themselves in good enough health.

But if we are paying for something that we don't have too...i.e. through healthier choices and better living....why would we stand to pay for that when we by all rights shouldn't have to? Money is money, and if it doesn't need to be spent, why spend it? No matter how little it is.

I know where your coming from but there is a lot of things we don't have a choice in, It will remain this way until everyone says enough is enough no more. What your saying above could be used in just about every aspect of life right down to the fun things we enjoy so much. After all why should we allow snowmobiling when it is a contributor to greenhouse gases along with the funding of a grooming program that also released carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and the people who get hurt or damage property with there sleds who arnt adequately insured . Also the dead ducks and deer from the snowmobilers that just don't care. I'M rambling here but my point is where do you draw the line on determining costs and who pays for what and some one setting back and say lets outlaw something it will be better for people to save there money for other things. And no I'm not fat maybe overweight a bit but i just don't like people telling others how to live there lives

You're not rambling at all AJ, I see your point and I agree. What is life if you can't enjoy it?

I guess I'm like everyone else, I draw lines where I see fit. If I was overweight, I bet I'd be on the other side of the fence, defending my luxury. You made an excellent point.

There ia a lot of truth in that and i agree everyone has to draw there lines according to what they can do in life. I'm not going to tell you to diet but if ya ask me don't let me eat that whole cake I'M not going to let ya :D Beer to ya :beer;

There's this new diet I think most in our country will be on soon...It's the low salary diet and includes lots of excerise since driving is so expensive.

I think obesity is a symtom of our country's prosperity but the recession is the cure. ....on the bright side anyhow.:face-icon-small-ton

Well, actually I think the opposite would happen.

How many healthy meals can you get for $10? (not counting hunters and fisherman obviously)

Now, how many double cheeseburgers at McDonalds can you get for that $10?

Which is more food?

Which seems like the better deal to laid off workers?

I'm always skinner on the low salary diet myself...but then I don't eat McDonalds or Buger King. I'd rather eat nothing than eat something gross.

Actually the recession is going to make it worse.
The gyms have already reported a huge drop in membership.
When peoples money is scarce, luxeries go bye bye. A membership to a gym is a luxery.

The whole thing with being overweight is just like anything else.
You have to decide it's time to do something about it.
Case in point.

I decided I had a drinking problem.
So I simply quit. Literally, overnight.
I decided it was costing too much to smoke. So I quit. That took me 2 months.

The down side to stopping smoking is I gained 60lbs.
I have lost 35 of it.
When I decide I am to big, I will lose the weight.
Till then, I'm good with at 240lbs.

I dont mess with the big women any more after a run in with my last GF....lol

Im not going to be the one to tell her she's causing the polar bears to lose their homes....
