Issues with Axys aluminum a-arms

Hit a stump hidden under snow this last weekend so hard that it instantly flipped the sled over and threw me off and the sled went into a tree. Spindles are beat up a little but the A arms are still intact and completely straight. If that gives anyone a little hope.

FYI Incase guys are looking for replacement bushings AND upper and lower ball joints....zbroz has them in stock and I would guess cheaper then stock (I have not verified), just throwing out there.

Hi guys. I did not read this thread from start but i want say you can use stock lower a-arms from rmk or pro rmk easy or cheap SPI aftermarket a-arms from this sleds also.
It will fit to AXYS.

Thanks for heads up. Think I will buy set of SPI's for backups & have them in trailer.

I've seen a few of the alum arms bend from normal riding, not impressed with the new LCA.

I removed my stockers before putting any miles on the sled. I have 4 new straight alum arms available, all hardware included (upper/lower ball joints, pivot bushings) $500

just got back today from riding, and i bent a arm on my axys and my friend didn't even now he hit anything hard and bent one on his axys. Maybe a fluke, but i think they are junk. Love the sled other than that.

What I thought was a minor side impact to the ski off a stump at maybe 5-10 mph... looked down to see one ski three inches back and lower arm bent in the "weak spot". I think the engineered weak area may be a little to weak. Stock arms were on backorder and didn't really want to keep the stock arms that are soft as butter. Went with Zbroz 39" arms cause they were the arms I could get the fastest. Zbroz arms are stronger and I like the high clearance look. I can't ride 100% if I don't have confidence in the strength of my sled; especially the a-arms. ✊

Bent an Alt impact lower a arm yesterday. Folded it like a taco. End didn't break, and bulkhead nor the tunnel bent

Springs?

Bent two stock lowers on a recent trip in under 200 miles.

Any chance this is related to soft spring rates/shocks? low/medium impacts appear to be zeroing out the suspension. I noticed the ball joint had dented the arm itself from a low speed light impact.

Little nervous about the AI's i ordered before reading this thread.

Rode with a guy that had just picked his Axys up the day before we left. Broke the lower A-arm in the usual spot.

Anyway, I had a 20' piece of mule tape and we lashed the A-arm to the front bumper to keep the assembly from bending backwards and raising havoc with the remaining parts. He rode it the 12 miles back to the truck with no issues.

Do these bolt right up or is modification needed? Don't see a sway bar?

The Arm Candy braces are working very well. First big collision with a tree (customer) and the arm still collapsed as it should but did not bend in the thinnest area where so many guys have bent them. No damage to the bulkhead.
