Just got back from Island Park. Snow was 3"-6" of fluff on a couple inchs of hard crust. Once you break through the crust, its sugary snow until you get to the soil sample. We rode around what I think is called the caldera. If you find some untouched stuff in the the trees, the snow is awesome, about 3ft deep. We also headed up to Two Top. Wind blown like crazy on the summit, but on the Montana side the hill side is pretty much untouched and fun. My wife's 144" 600 had no trouble getting around everywhere we did in our 163s. Snotel says there's about 80" up there, and from what we could tell that's about right. The snow pretty packed in from the warmer weather, wind, and previous riders, so its hard to tell exactly how deep it is. Still a good ride once the sun came out and the overcast cleared. Trails were well groomed, except for a few. The old rail way trail was rough, but from what I am told doesn't get groomed because its too narrow, so go figure.
If you stick to the trees or untouched its pretty good.
