Island Park eating.

I've got a couple trips to IP area in January. Someone told me there may be a destination eatery only accessible by snowmobile. Does anyone know if this is accurate or not? If so, perhaps you could provide a description or coordinates. We will be staying near Elk station.

I used to deliver up there and shotgun village is supposed to have some good food....it's a ways up the road right in front of elk creek service (the one the would run into it) and where shotgun is it turns to gravel....could be there?

If your staying in Island Park you've got to eat at Boondocks, its on your way to Shot Gun, on the north side of the road.

There are 2 snowmobile eateries that I know of. I wish I could give you direction but I can't remember how to get there. Sort of a muscle memory thing, if I'm on the sled I can find them. I know one is on Elk Lake though, and it is very tasty. A purely snowmobile crowd makes for a nice dinner.

Elk Lake and Meadow Creek Lodges

Elk Lake Lodge is North West of Island Park and it is actually in Montana. They have awesome food and offer gas too.

Meadow Creek Lodge is near East of IP. If you take the trail from IP village toward Lionshead you will find it. This is also a great place to eat. Best burgers around.

Was up there today.
in the valley there is enough snow to ride, and there were plenty of riders out.

BUT...

There is NOT a lot of snow.

Perhaps 16 inches in good spots, a foot in bad.
The trails all seemed to be well trodden down.

In general, we are all waiting for some real snow.

I really like to eat at Anglers Lodge.

They make great stuff and it is a real nice atmosphere.

Boondocks is good so is shotgun.
If you want good down home cooking go to Medow Creek Lodge excellent food and they have a bar.
You can only get there on a snowmobile so from Elk Creek take the trail to Big Springs then north about 3 or 4 miles there is signs.
You won't regret it great people.

What about Lake Side lodge by Bills Island? I thought that was a bar and grill there?
