Is this site infected?

As an IT professional I would suggest that if you are being redirected then you should do a thorough scan of you own computer because if it was in fact Snowest then it would be happening to everyone.

I have done scans on my computer. My pc is clean. It has something to do with the forum link.

I used to have this problem. It would come up randomly I think. I'm 90% sure it is your computer infected.

Our computer had the whole HD wiped, and now it never happens anymore. Also, I had an add clicker on the comp somewhere. I could hear that internet explorer "loading noise" like maybe 20 times in an hour. But I don't use internet explorer... so it was one of those auto add clickers running in the background. Never could find anything with virus scanners, and never did have it cause a problem. It was always just there.

But a word of advice, when you get redirected to that fake anti virus scan... do not download anything and do not simply close it by pressing the little x in the top right. If it's the same one I was getting it will have a message pop up saying "Are you sure you want to leave this website? Press ok to navigate away from this page or press cancel to stay on this page" If you do in fact press ok, I think it gives the site the go ahead to download stuff onto your computer. So the only way to safely get off the page is by pressing ctrl alt delete. Then under applications, select the internet page and press end task.

It only happens when you click on the forum link from the snowest page. It happens all computers that I have tried it from, that includes 3 work computers and 2 from my house and 1 from my buddy's house. it only happens in internet explorer. Firefox works fine. Also did the same thing with my laptop on a public network.

yep the spam link is garbage...they say its free...they scan you...then tell you that you have thousands of issues and to purchase their crap for x amount of dollars...lol..and then next to impossabile to get rid of them...mcphee failed me on an issue it should have caught and it took trend-micro to fix it...so im a trend micro fan now..but no pop ups on this site for me..im running ie8

I have had this issue only once on SW, but 2 of my 3 computers have picket it up off other sites. One of them crashed pretty hard. I agree about using Ctrl Alt Del to close the program. Microsoft helped me thru by down loading a free third party program, "malwarebytes anti-malware. When the pop up shows up I close with Ctrl Alt Del, and run the malware program. It is a pain, but saves me from crashing. I am not an IT but after two major issues this has been working me. Also, the free version doenot run in real time, only when you open and scan your system.
