Is this good compression?????

Had my 2013 pro 800 in for a electrical problem and they did a compression test on it ? The problem was the throttle safety switch! Any ways the sled has 900 miles and came out 120 MAG and PTO is this good? Thanks

compression

my 13 800 has 120 on one side and 121 on the other with 400 miles on it. Your #'s are fine. Main thing is there with in 5lbs of each other

The key thing is that they are both the same. I would be more concerned if one was say 90 and the other was 120. Also, I've been told that elevation can play a factor and throttle position. That's why I go for the consistency. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything higher than 120 for the Pros.

Elevation definitely plays a large role. My 2012, that just got a new tunnel etc from a crash was at the dealer and I was curious to know what the compression was so i had them do a compression test. I was told it came out to 135 pto and mag side w/ 1270 miles, but this is at an elevation of about 50' (Vancouver).

When I sold my 1999 XC 700 it had 17,000 miles on it. I had 118 lbs on one cylinder and 120 on the other, never had any work done on the motor. I have always been told as long as both cylinders are close to the same with in reason you are good to go.
$.02

I had 119 and 120 when mine burned down. they said oil line came un donebut I think piston skirt broke and caused whole engine to be destroyed.1484 miles on 12 800 pro

But this has nothing to do with compression right? That can be very confusing for this thread.
