I'm exploring all the options for spare belt placement. It fits well this way under the seat but I'm concerned about rolling it up so tight. Is the new drive belt for th 12's bigger or smaller than the one's from the M sleds? The one in the pic is an 046 from my 08 M8.I wanted to see if it was possible. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

twist

Probably will be alright like that if you take it out between rides and put it back like that when your ready to ride again. Leaving it in there for a thousand miles might get it weather checked?

I think it will be fine, it doesn't have to be perfect anyway, just good enough to get you going again. I was going to put mine there but put my ropes & emergency blanket & stuff there. There is a cavity under the foam in the front part of the seat you can stuff things too. Did you put the seat latch bolt back in? I didn't, it looked to me it would stay latched without the bolt. I think cat put it there for liability reasons. I am still looking for a place to put my spare belt (still backordered) I may have to do as you did

This is what I did with the bolt. Big enough to grab with gloves on.

I have kept a belt in my under the seat bag on my dragon for one to two months at a time, and I yet have had a failed belt when it comes time to use it. In order to get the belt in there I have to twist and coil it up to fit. Never had a problem, untell I posted on this thread LOL knock on wood!!

Good to hear that. I feeling a little better about leaving it there. I'll probably pull it out every few weeks and coil it the other way.
