IS this a good deal or no?

I have a 02 660 Yamaha Raptor barely ridden. Valued at 4000.00 from a local yamaha shop. Has Elka triple rate front shocks, A/C Nerf bars and A/C skid plates front to rear, New sprockets and chains, D.I.D Sidewinder, Douglas wheels Holeshot Rear tires, Pure Sport Fronts. Never Raced. Just trail ridden. Just don't ride it anymore. I was only asking 3500.00 Just so you know.

Guy wants to trade me two sleds, one is a:
2001 XCR 800 151" track But with out a track. He ripped it in half and never replaced it for some reason?

The second is a: 1999 RMK 700 Punched out to a 840 (not sure if that is possible with out blowing it up) But that is what he says. Thinks it has a 144 track on it.

I asked if he would go in half on the track. He then stated that he was going to ask me for cash since he would be giving up two machines and only getting one. So go for it or say hell no go ride a big wheel around the track? lol I was just kidding..about the big wheel.

Lmao tell him to go ride his big wheel hahahahahaha

One sled isn't even in running condition for petes sake.

Thats cool thats why I am asking..
Second thought am I asking to much for my quad? The front shocks cost 975.00 and have been out 3 times. thanks

The problem with putting all the money into quads is you will never get it back out.. I had an 04 450R which had about 10 hours on it.. aftermarket everything (no joke), complete race quad with no money spared anywhere and I had a heck of a time getting $4500 out of it last year.. I almost cried letting it go for that amount, but if someone has to get a loan on something, the bank will only go so far from book value.. If they have cash its easier, but if they have to get a loan, prepare to get

your quad does seem high...i know o8/700 raptors were 7400 canadian when i last worked around Yamaha's...the 660 will start kicking the oil out of her sooner or later...but the shocks sound sweet..just may be one of those things that you don't recover investment...can you put stock back on and sell those and lower your price..??

My .02 would be that the quad is worth 3500 with the low miles.
All the extras 4000 sounds about right.
Times are tuff though.

NO DEAL! (On the trade)

Might be a good Idea to take the shocks and A/C components off and sell them on an atv forum. I bet I would come out better. I dunno about trade ins. I have NEVER seen one that was a decent deal. Never...Thanks guys good Ideas. And as for the I was thinking that way just needed confirmation.

It's a tough market right now to sell quads. My buddy had is '04 660 Raptor, not much done to it other than a slip-on pipe, and he had it listed forever. He finally ended up selling it for $2800. Way below the $4000 he started at.

I sold a mint 05 raptor 660 with a yosh pipe, jet kit , and air box mod for $4000 last summer. Market for selling was alot better. $3 to $3500 sounds about right to me. Sucks, I know.

Well I have to admit thats what I started out asking. A guy contacted me today about a 2002 Yamaha Viper 700. Stock motor new track 1500 miles. He also has a 230cc for a kid that I might take a look at. I have a 10 year old daughter that I would like to take snowmobilling to see if she likes it or not. Seems like a good beginner sled. She loves the polaris scrambler. I turned the screw on the thumb throttle so she can't go that fast. She likes it.
