"Is There Still Snow Up There?"

That's the question we get asked by some random person every time we have the sleds loaded up on the way to the hill this time of year when we stop for food and gas in the mornings... Without fail almost every trip from mid-May on for the last 4 years it has become a comedic way of starting the weekend trip... we smile and reply "Yep, There sure is!"

Well we got asked that question Yesterday and our response was the same... and Mother Nature didn't disappoint... We unloaded at 5,150 ft according to my altimider and got in a nearly 30 mile day Our standing record has been final rides on June 6th, 8th, 12th, and this year we are still going and planning a ride in July even

Went up on top of the ridge for a while... The wind coming up from the western cliffs sure is whipping the sand and dirt up now... and with 9'-6" of snow pack still showing at the pole, the tree-wells are enormous!

Not a bad day all in all, got back to the truck shortly after it started raining and headed down about 6pm. Another ride to make the summer that much shorter... and Yes, There is still snow up there!!!

I can agree with that, people look at ya pretty stupid when I'm getting gas.

And, yeah, Plenty of snow up there, this was last weekend.
