Is there anyone who bought a Nytro and then hated it?

Nope I love the IQ's just don't exspect it to be light in the front end when off boost fun to ride just needs the skid and other stuff to handle the HP.

Wife got one last year... in stock form they are not the best... once we got the Turbo it rode much better. The suspension sucks so plan on going with a Timbersled and good front shocks. The Gen II Simmons work great as well. I never got use to the rider position but I can't get use to the XP's either.

I've been around two people with Nytros.

Both of them are exhausted at the end of the day.

i got the chance to ride a non t nytro last season.i loved it other than the lack of power and rear susp.it felt 70lbs lighter than my already light weight boosted apex.for some one comming off a 2 stoke it prob wouldn't feel as light.if your use to the apex weight transfer u will love the nytro.:beer;

I rode a bone stock one several times last season. Have a buddy that had one for a demo sled. While the lack of power really shows in stock form, it was a blast to ride. I would love to have one with a 162" and some mild boost.

Got mine late last year so not alot of powder riding. It darted like hell on the hardpack but the Simmons cured that. Much better suspension than the 99 RMK but now has the Timbersled & should be much better this year. After the 5th ride or so, got much more used to it & love it now. Works for me.

Nytro fead back

I purchased a Nytro and an Xp last year and like them both, although there's no comparison between them, it depends on what you want and how you ride among other things.

Having had an RX1 and several Apexs over the years you get used to having a heavy sled and riding them very hard. Both the Nytro and Apex can feel very tippy or un - sure footed to someone who's not used to them.
Basically I found that you have to ride Yamahas like you stole them. The Nyrto is very fun to ride, it turns on a dime and you can lay it down and carve a donut very easy but, it will also go over too far very easy. As fun as the sled is it's still too heavy if you're trying to keep up with the other brands, unless you modify it of course and that's a whole other topic.

A ride with guys which have Artic Cats and as I said I ride the Xp, so in deep snow and side by side in climbs the Nytro will not compare.

I ride the Xp all the time and basically purchased the Nytro for a spare sled for guests. They were a new model and wanted to try one, I also love the 4 stroke, as the feel of the engine combined with the sound is a blast.
If I were to ride the Nytro on a regular basis I would modifey it and ride it like I stole it.

An Xp or Artic Cat are definetly easier to ride in some respects, if you want to sit on a sled and feel stability, safe and not have to hang off the side or you're not confident at side hilling you may not like the Nytro.

Have fun deciding

rode both a stock one a one with a turbo, they dont turn or carve, I only lasted 45 seconds on the stock one in two feet of fresh, its like trying to ride a 55 gallon drum!!!!!! the turbo went up good but thats it!!! to be honest I would ride an XP first and you know how I feel about the XP!!! sticking with the M7 LE again!!

Rode a rental that my buddy got in Cooke City last year. The sleds don't climb to save their azz, but I thought it was well balanced and I had a blast carving it around. If you aren't worried about getting the himark...ever, and like dependability this might be the right sled for you.

It was a mistake to buy one for the way I like to ride and given the opportunity to go back in time, I wouldn't buy it again. That being said, I'm stuck with it, so I'm trying to make the best of it without going broke. We'll see how it works out.

Nytro

Buddy has one, rode it lots then never rode it again. Can't stand it, the tunnel and seat are too tall to do agrressive riding, just can't go side to side with your feet quick enough. The balance point seems odd also when carving, I could get it to a point where it would carve but if I pulled it over just a bit more it would flop on it's side. So in the end they aren't for me. I did however go on a good ride with Climbmax and watching him on his TNytro was impressive, definately need time on them to make them work.:beer;

I put 1700 miles on mine last year and loved it. Unless you OWN a nytro then don't comment. Mine took at least 3-4 rides to fully get used to the chassis, there is no way anyone can get a proper feel in 20 minutes. Im not sure where people are getting that they can't carve and you can't ride aggressively. Mine carves just fine and jumps even better.

The balance point on them is weird but that goes away as you put some actual time on it. I had XP summit riders last year tell me my Nytro was easier to ride.

I put 1500 miles on mine last year. I can't see myself on any other sled. It just fits me and the way I like to ride. In the deep, I haven't been on a sled that carves any better. The sled does pretty good in climbing.. though it really needs to be clutched before an accurate comparison is to be made... I was at 7900 before I clutched and 9100 after. Yah I would think 1200 rpm's would make a difference!:p

The suspension on the sled is great for trail riding and mild agressiveness, but if you jump at all it is a total joke. The front ball joints were a joke also... Mine were toast and were pretty bad. Though once a couple of upgrades are done, it does really well. The sled feels really natural in the air and doing other aggressive maneuvers.

I love love love the motor. It has so much torque down low, it feels stronger then an rt1000. Note that is only down low, the rt1000 takes it on top. I really like the sound of the motor too. I wish yamaha would just sell the motor and side plates... It would save a lot of time and money.:D Not having to worry about blown motors or the lifespan/condition of the motor is great. Saves a lot of worry and thought...

The stock skis are really good too, though the track sucks for heavy types of snow.

The riding position is the best, large running boards are great, seat is really good too. Electric start is a nice feature, especially in tight technical situations where you got stuck and can't really get up to the sled to pull it over. The mechanical reverse sucks compared to RER and other electronic stuff, but I will never have a sled without reverse again!

The headlight loves to connect snow, which is pretty lame for night riding.. It should just be replaced with some headlamps from cyclops or something. The sled needs more storage for sure, and the tank could be a little bigger for more range, but it is comparable to a doo 800.

I would say it took me half the season to get used to the sled. I seem to take longer then most, but coming off the rev, it did take me a while. Note that this was my first year in the mountains, so there was a lot of learning and confidence issues starting out.

I have ridden some new dragons and new m sleds.... they just don't seem to fit me like the nytro does. As most new sleds today are very capable, it is all rider preference and comfort.
