Is there an 09-up ORANGE IQ skid plate??

I am doing an Orange/Black scheme on my RMK 900, i have the 09 front end for it...but i really wanna get an Orange OEM skid plate...my dealer said that polaris does not make them, but i swear i have seen them before...

anyone know either the part number for the OEM 09-up skid plate, or where i can find one?

polairs makes them they are called cosmic sunburst part number 2875092-446 and they have over 1000 in stock.
 
Kinz... you got me all excited!! ALMOST...But no cigar.

I've been looking for an orange one for a while now... even asked SPG to make me one in Orange during the off season... but they don't have the orange in big enough sheets to fit the mold for the Polaris sleds.

PN 2875092-446 one is for the 2008 and earlier.

The 2009/10 body style is only in Black, Indy Red, and Matte White. (frown)
IQ-style fits ‘06-09 Switchback, ‘06-10 Touring, ‘05-08 RMK and ‘06-08 IQ

They DID have an orange snow flap a while back... Still haven't found one of those yet!!

damn... i stand corrected.. we did one them last season but it was on an 08.. i forgot. they need to make one for the new style though, because that color is sweet!

i have a few of the old style skid plates that are beat up pretty bad...so i will look into the fitment issues if i was to heat it real good and bend it up...

ill post back...i know someone who did this before but i wasnt interested then..but i really want an orange skid plate

if you look here. http://www.purepolaris.com/Detail.aspx?ItemID=2875092(PolarisPGACatalog) it shows that it fits 09/10 sleds. so 2875092-446 should be the right part number for an oranger skid plate that fits 09/10 sleds.

thanks for the info bud. but the orange skid plate a few of us are looking for ar for the new style front ends (narrow) and they only made the orange for the older style plastics (wide plastic)..

so when i get some time, i will bend up a used crappy grey one i have for the older style and see how it looks...if its not too bad, i will go with that...if its bad..i will get a black one :(
 
the link above for the black, silver and red skid plates are the same part number as the orange ones. and they fit the assault and 2010 dragon which are the new style. so the orange should fit.

ill have to find someone that has it in stock and have them look at it in person as they talk to me on the phone..

ill see what i can come up with and let you all know ;)
 
guido, that is a good part number.says it fits all IQ rmk's and polaris has it in stock on cosmic orange...

I think the website has inconsistent info... It says that the 2876985-xxx skid plate fits the same models as the 2875092-xxx plate. (xxx = color code... 446 =>Orange [Cosmic Sunburst] )

It doesn't make sense that both skid plates would fit both models (eg a 2009 plate on a 2007)

Guido, if you find that you can make the 2875092-xxx plate fit the 2009/10's let me know... I'm game for one as well.

Found this in the 2011 Accessories print catalog.

got the 100% clarification on this.

the ONLY skid plate polaris made for the IQs is for the OLDER WIDE body plastics.

i was certain of this as well, after info from MH. but i will give the older style one i have a try and see how it fits on the NARROW front end plastics and report back again.

got off the phone with TAMMY from SKINZ...and talked about getting a float plate out in ORANGE for the 09-UP "narrow front plastic"...I do NOT know about them being made for the "wide body IQ front end, but i will check next time i talk to her about them...

here is what she had to say....

We don’t make it in orange "right now" but someone else has also asked about it so we are going to check into making some in that color. It’s a different size plastic and we don’t normally stock that size but we could order some in and then it’s no problem to make some for you.

We just ordered in a truckload of plastic and so usually it’s about 6-8 weeks between times we order just because It’s pretty expensive and you get better pricing to order at quantity so it may be a little bit but at least it is summer and so hopefully by fall we can get some orange in and run some.

TTT. just wanna make sure everyone is aware that SKINZ is gonna try and get some ORANGE float plates out this fall...

i will check back with them in 6-8 weeks when they place their next order and let you know the status ;)
