Just want to hear everyone's .02 about the pro verses the rmk
as I understand the difference is about $600 and you get the light weight brake, jack shaft, and the different shocks with the pro-taper bars.

Yes, It's well worth it.Just the shocks alone . I blow my non-rebuildable shocks front or back .Lucky if they make it a year .I drive like a nut. So rebuildable ones would save me a pile of money. The brake rotor with that kind of cooling is great. Ok with me . Plus that Turbo Silver looks Awesome.:face-icon-small-ton

For me... being able to revalve and rebuild the shocks is huge.

Having most of the switches on the console is pretty big for me as I would want to switch out the handlebars as both the std and Pro taper are too wide for me and the Pro tapers are too tall (im short). There is just not enough room on the left side of most aftermarket bars for the switch/brake pod.

That LW jack shaft and Rotor are a nice bonus.

For me... the SnowCheck would be great if you could pick ANY Of the color schemes available for the sleds (Patriot, Orange, silver, White, Black) or any combo of the above.... Like White/White hood, Black/black, Red/Red...

Im really debating if it's worth it for the guy's that are turboing the sleds like I would be. I'd be going with a timber rear skid and put float's on the front. So the only bonus would be pro taper bars and drive shaft. Prob not worth it then?? I wonder how this new skid will handle the turbo power this season, It would be nice not to have to change it!

Exactly what I'm thinking. Sure you could save the $600, sell the RydeFX shocks and go bigger with Float R's, but it's all the little things that i like. I've really grown to like the Pro Taper bars on my D8. There is an extra 7 pounds of weight savings on the Pro models. I'll pay it...

The snowcheck comes in TURBO SILVER which must increase the hp, right? lol...

How many pounds of boost is the turbo on the turbo silver???????lol

Actually, I think you can get the turbo silver in the base rmk if you snowcheck anyway.....

Supposedly the rear is more setup like a holtz and should preform better. Also they ditched the tipped up rails which didn't help the wheelies.

I am having trouble which to order also, my hang up is the bars, the pro tapers seem a little wide and straight for my liking. As far as shocks I have never blown a standard shock on my 08 rmk, but we have had to rebuild many of rebuildables over the years. I figure with the 4 year warranty, they can just replace them. I have till monday to decide, when I drop off my check.:face-icon-small-hap

Is the 4 year warr. bumper to bumper , or just engine?

Yes, He told me it was bumper to bumper. I assume it doesn't cover "wear items" such as belts and weight bushings though.

we're all on the same page there.
however, I've had zero problems with my 08 and my 09 dragons.

i just want to know if they fixed the 800 problems love to have one but dont want a sled that needs it's engine replaced 12 times like the 800s

I take offense to that, it's only been 11 times! I'm sure hoping that they have them fixed.

think problem is where the elev is high and the air dry... which means us.

Tech here thought they was going back to a 2 injector, but i dont havea clue but i dont know who can afford a sled they blows up every month and then try to resale.. not bashing them just the way it is out west... problems solved ill have one.. red and black for me, can get them in pro form?

ablity to do the shocks to ur personal liking is worth it. the other stuff is just for show :D and seems to vary from person to person weather they like it or not

I ride 8-10k in Idaho with no problems, Anyway they are a 2 injector motor, and yes you can snowcheck a red and black one in the pro form:face-icon-small-win
