Is (The Edge) really a CAT dealer now???

It appears to be true!
I've kept this pretty quiet since it has been a long time in the works and has not been a sure thing until this week. As you may know the Edge took a large hit last summer and decided to close shop. To make a long story short a couple of us got together and bought out the rights to BRP, ktm, suzuki and cat. I had heard about a year ago Southvalley was trying to dump cat and started working on taking it over about April of 2009. Cat is the first manufacturer we have 100% secured so far, the other 3 should be done by the end of next week. We are running on a bare bones crew and will slowly be ramping up over the next month. So be patient if you go in there. Its a work in progress and no where near where we want it yet. If you have and questions or are interested in snowchecking a new cat or doo PM me. Our goal is to build a shop that has a knowledgable and helpful staff where everyone is welcome and loves to hang out. There very few shops (especially big ones) like what we are trying to build. If you had a bad experience there before, like many of us had, give the new place a chance.

Hard to see the stickers...But I can proudly say I bought the first cat out of The Edge's Doors last Friday. They got them in Thursday night and I brought the M8 home Friday afternoon.
They are really trying to get on their feet but I have confidence. I am good friends with people that are good friends with Brian over there and got a real good deal. My Dragon is down there fight now on consignment. They don't have much inventory and no parts whatsoever yet, but on Tuesday when I brought the M8 down there they were calling other dealers to get the parts they needed.
Why keep the name the edge, it's not as if these guys had a stellar reputation for either customer service or knowledge?
It will be nice to have a dealer close to grab last min parts, but unless the owners are smart enough to realize that their margin on part sales is way too high I (and many others) will keep shopping on the net for most of my parts needs.

I am with ya the name needs to get completely rid of "The Edge" all together. I know many people that absolutely hate that place and if it still has the edge in it there is no way they are going to set foot in the door there. It sure would be nice to have a good skidoo dealer close by. But that name is going to kill you before you even get going.

The Edge name is the only thing that remains. Everything else is different. Rich and Bryan are doing everything right and have customer service and product knowledge at the forefront of the new Edge Motorsports. Rich is as passonate as anyone i know about our beloved sport and know he will do anything it takes to make The Edge "the place to be" for Cat and SkiDooo performance. Besides i know they will surround themselves with the right people to help them make this happen
