Is the ECU covered under warranty??

Buddy at work has a 2012 with lots of warranty.
Brought in to dealer to check running issues.
Long story short, was told by dealer that ECU got wet inside and now has to be replaced at the owners cost.
Brings up lot's of other questions on if they're even diagnosing this properly, but if they are..........
Should this be warranty??

What the dealer is probably saying is that the 1st year is a bumper to bumper and the following years are powertrain only...

So if the sled is passed its one year, its on to its "powertrain" warrenty.

Many have commented on polaris's warrenty..polistar etc... not the best warrenty.

Agree, in the extra warranty, it clearly states that it is covered.

Powertrain Electrical and Fuel Delivery
o Throttle Bodies
o Injectors
o Fuel Rail
o Fuel Pump
o Stator/Alternator/Flywheel
o Voltage Regulator
o Capacitor
o Coils
o Idle Air Control (IAC)
o ECU
o Wiring Harnesses

This isn't my machine, but I do own a 13, and makes you wonder why we have warranty and have to play these stupid games with some dealers.
I've passed the info along, and we'll see what happens.

Also got my stator and wiring harness replaced. Its not Polaris that sucks its your dealer if anyone is having issues
