is the 07 m8 really that bad?

Things to consider adding:
Snow eliminators-a must on that sled
Power Claw Track- awesome track
Secondary kit
Boss Seat-stock seat sucks!
2 Wheel Kit-noticeable difference in sidehilling and tipping sled
SLP Pipe setup- Makes it rip
Side vents- M's need to get rid of all that underhood heat
Dash Vents
Shock Tower Vents
KNEE PADS- A lifesaver, i always slide forward and bang my knees
handlebar riser to suit your height
Tunnel kit- update to the 09-10 style rear tunnel
New skis

snow accumulators thats what we call them ans side vents dont do too much for underhood heat but helps cool the clutches nice heat rises so if u have a heat problem dash or hood vents..... u need to decide what kinda riding ur gonna do if u ride alot of trails sure all these things are nice gut if ur mountan ridin slp it pull the cord and hold her till she stinks ur gonna have a lot of fun good sled better than others but if lookin at doing a lot of stuff update the rear something ez ryde or new float

Are you guys putting the rkt kits on for boondocking? I do mostly hill climbing and lost of drag racing up hill. Will this help that? Or should i just rebuilt the stock with 36 helix and red/white spring? Ride 6-9000ft. with slp setup. Still have problem getting 8100 rpm out of it too. Powervalves are good. Weights are good, could it be the rollers in the clutch?

I swear that they made two different M8's in 07. My buddy and I had the exact same sleds. The only difference was that his was green and mine was black. He would beat me every time. In a race or climing, it didn't matter. I weigh a good 40 pounds more than him, so I that was the deal. So we swaped sleds and then I would beat him every time. I put the RK Tek secondary, VF 3's, and a can on mine thinking that it would help. It did make a noticeably difference but his sled was still faster than mine no matter who was riding them. We both had the same updates/reflashes. His was 100% bone stock. My M8 was just a DOG!!!

Anyone else seen/heard of anything like this??

Boone

some are made on Monday....... and some on Friday:beer;:beer;:beer;. Look at he ecu some have squares, some have triangles and some have circles. This makes them different

For cheap results.... Clutch off the stock 2008-09 weight chart... That will make a sled out of it....

m8

Love my 07 really dependable and very good boondocking sled. got a slp pipe kit on the way. should be a good season. as for running board mods i got fastlane no snows and they work very good, highley recommended!!

M8 153"

I put a full SLP pipe kit and shift assist on this year. Hope it makes a difference.

Bad? .. no, Good? .. yes, Awesome? .. no. Depends on what you're looking for. A very dependable sled that requires lots of work to keep up with newer models. Sitting here looking at mine and 1/2 the parts are no longer 07' stock .. just to keep up with improvements over the last few years. It's all said above .. minimum, you'll need clutching and then a PC track if you can afford it.

If you've got the money, get as new as you can afford IMO.
