6 Million + people now on unemployment in march, I would guess that most of the 6 million on unemployment & cant make their house payment while the Whitehouse spends wildly see that as a form of torture! Not physical but mental. Be very carefull what you wish for Whitehouse, Very carefull!

Well, that's an interesting question. My only guess would be, if there is no logistical way for them to know what you need, I don't see the need in torturing them, if for no other reason than even if they don't know anything, they'll tell you what you want to hear when tortured. And that could be false and dangerously misleading information.

Hey if torture works on some individual, use it. Personally, I'd think you get a lot better response, if you asked a guy a question, then threw hin out of the air plane, for answering wrong. All while being watched by the next guy to question.

Something tells me there's got to be a better way. I bet they get a lot of useless info that way also. I can imagine a guy telling them anything they want to hear. Watched one guy give a lecture on the subject. He's suppose to be really good. He plays carrot and stick, and tells them he's going to let them go back home, and let it be known that it's a reward for talking. Seems the threat of being released around their friends is scarier than talking.

Anyway, I just want to use whatever works. Personally, I wouldn't keep any of them around. Ask a few questions, then just make them disappear. But, we're the world cops. We operate under a different set of rules than they do. Might be all that separates us from them.

Now that I'm on this subject I'm also gonna take to court fat people in front of me in the buffet line, skinny people hopped up on 'diet pills' and red bull, ugly people at the state fair, beautiful people in magazines, rich people for looking down on me, greenies for threatening to take public land away, politicians that sit behind a desk and spend my money, black people for being black, white people for being white, mexicans that serve strong margaritas and hot sauce, and last but not least my wife for using sex as a leverage tool.....wow i need to find a good lawyer....second thought screw that, im gonnna sue that prick too...

I was just talking with a buddy that did 3 tours in Iraq about this torture BS, He was telling me that torture is when insurgents tie up whole familys in Iraq & hang them by their feet so they can gut them like elk while they are still alive. All because the insurgents thought the Iraqi's helped the U.S.

John McCain has lived through some of the same techniques has said it is torture, so based on that it's torture IMO. No other politician's opinion means jack **** if they haven't experienced it, most of them don't know what "hard times" means, let alone torture.

Although it is torture, I support it if they indeed believe the guy is holding secrets that could save American lives. As long as they're not using that excuse to torture everybody.

read a piece on torture for interogation once and they talked to some old WWII vets who were damn proud that they never had to resort to "torture". Said they got a whole lot further with coffee and talking.

Guess I can't say either way as I never have been in either position....but I will say, I bet having a drop of water continually falling on your head and running around is gonna drive ya bonkers. Hell I get antsy when the hair cut chick sprays water on my hair and some runs down my forehead.
