I have to rant so please excuse me...... three years ago i buy an 04 Ski-doo owned by a 60 year old man..450 perfect miles on it. I ride it less than 200 miles and the crank goes. I put a new short block in it and finish the season. Two years ago I buy a 2007 rev 800 R summit X. It has 600 miles on it and a Brand New motor in it. I get three hundred miles on it and on presidents day last year my motor blows...crank again.. They warrantee it with a 2008 motor, and I finish the year. I am at 400 miles on the new motor and Today of all days ... Presidents day MY FREAKING CRANK GOES !!!!!!!...

Is it too much to ask when I pay $8,000.00 for a sled to expect that the motor will hold up.more than one year!!!!!! Can someone tell me if my 07 Rev is out of warranty, but I have a 2008 motor less that a year old.. Will ski doo warranty this ???? Or am I supposed to bend over and take it up the tail pipe????

Any good deals on an M8? I need to know of

Bad luck for you. My 04 had 4220 miles on it no crank issues. The 07 x's had crank issues, thats no secret. If you get an M and snap the crank guess someone doesnt want you to ride. Good luck to ya.

Well thats more than enough to piss a guy off!
Sorry man I don't know what to say besides that you have terrible luck! I hope you get it all figured out and ridin again soon!

I ride with five other 07 summit X's and thay have had no issues...:mad:

My 07 X was the least reliable sled I've ever owned, always had the tow rope ready.

Motor should have a 1 year warranty, but don't quote me on that, maybe it could fall off the trailer at 65;);).only joking of course:eek:
Good luck

Well you know the story of my 04 Rev and I'm not saying anything else I don't want to jinx it. Maybe its just your magnet personality!!!

The worst sh*t always seems to happen to you, its because you didn't take me riding with you today.

my 07 put a rod though the block at 4600km last season, at 6100km now and runnin good on the 08 long block. if you got a 08 long block then you should have 1 year engine warrentee on it.

i have a feeling mine will blow up end of this season:rolleyes:

Thats why you should ride a good ol trusty 503 fan Snowhawk. Come on brotha get up off the couch man and get ya a oneski...........I'll run circles around revs and m8's. You should see the new decal I just got it added 10 horse.

SNOWCOCK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

SKI DOO SUCKS A_ _ !!!!!!! just got the call from the dealer and Ski-DOO will not warranty my motor. It is a 2008 Motor installed by a Ski DOO dealership less than a year old...Less than 400 miles on a brand new Motor.... They can keep their sled they will not get anymore of my business... Meet the newest member of the Ski DOO stuck it up my A_ _ club....

Painfully yours

Soory to hear of your misfortunes. I would be more than happy to take that sled off your hands so you'll never have to deal with it again, I'll even throw in a case of beer cuz i'm a nice guy.

I tortured myself the same way with my 07 XRS, I feel your pain.

The fix is easy, go to your Arctic Cat dealer and buy a new 09 M8.

I did and believe it or not it works like it's supposed to. Holds RPM's, hasn't eaten a belt yet, haven't had to drive to the dealer after every ride, you get my drift.

I know you are gonna take a beating on the Doo, but it's no fun fighting the Doo BS day in and day out, don't even think about calling BRP in Canada, you will want to go on a homicidal rampage, I know from experience.

I just got my Cat about two weeks ago and it's amazing, but riding is fun again. I don't go out feeling like I'm on a ticking time bomb every ride, I could go on but winter is short, go get a good sled and HAVE SOME FUN AGAIN!!!

Good Luck, Matt

Here kitty kitty!

might know where there is a 09-turbo m8 162 ,only 1 state away--sounds like a dealer issue--i know a friend who just lost a 2nd motor in a 07 x and the dealer got most of it warrantied---i think i would have a heart to heart with my dealer---its not like your thr first to have issues with that motor---

Agreed.

Sounds like your dealer is passing the buck in attempt to dig a little deeper into your wallet. It's no secret that warranty claims don't pay near as well as an over the counter W/O.

call doo up your self and tell them what happened and tell them they should warranty it. Have all of you ducks in a row when you call. the vin number, all engine numbers, previous work orders, purchase date. Dont call *****ing and barking orders though.. that will get you no where. a bad dealer may have not have even called them because they dont wanna mess with it and just told you no warranty.
