does it seem like snowmobiling has hit the mainstream as far as exposure? usually, they never gave a damn about snowmobilers, but now its big story on news with avalanches, x games, insurance, etc. is this a good sign or a bad sign?

As more people are killed and injured, more attention will be paid. Lets hope that big brother doesn't find the need to MAKE this a safer sport.

I think it is good the more we are exposed the more other people will want to ride and thus our "army of people" will get stronger and are voice will be louder!!! SNOWMOBILING IS NOT A CRIME,IT'S A WAY OF LIFE!!!!!,and hopefully with good examples and knowledge we can hope peps are being more and more smart out in the Back country and riding in general just my 0.02

I think it's really got a lot to do with the GoPro's everyone is wearing now. The vids hit YouTube and the news picks it up. Video is a lot more sensational than just a story about an avalanche or a wreck.
