is arctic cat testing in colorado?

Now why would anyone make the leap from "seeing a trailer with stickers on it" to "I wonder if they are testing turbo'd mtn sled"

WTF?

LOL

jeezus bro just a lil curiosity. im sorry that i heard that there maybe a ac turbo mtn sled comming out i was just asking if anyone knew anything.. looked kind of an offical gig i guess your the almighty bad@ss around here so i should p.m you and make sure i am allowed to post question.. thanks for your input on my questions...

Brett does Mtn testing for AC. He has a company called Snowmobile Research Service. Maybe some product testing or photo shoots who knows.

But on the turbo thing, our local dealer recieved a fax from AC stating the the Backcountry Edition sled is with Boondocker and Burandt and not a factory thing. Soooo are they telling the truth. HCR maybe with a turbo? I am getting out the WIGI board to find out these answers. My dog knows but will not tell me.

just got the new sledheads mag and they show brurandts hcr edition with bd pump gas turbo and ez ryde, they say its a combined effort from all companies involved

No worries. Glad to meet your acquaitance. There have been rumors of turbo OEM mtn sleds for years...I've yet to see one.
But I did hear Honda is coming out with a sled. I heard that one is fo sho.

BTW, don't take my first comment so seriously. It's just the internet.

He has been up here in Kremmling hanging out with Burandt. From what I hear they were doing a shoot with Sledheads 24-7.

don;t let them get to ya

Yeah they were at Togwotee with trailers and dynos, sleds, and A$$HOLES to go with it. My buddy just bought an 08 arctic cat......first arctic cat purchase and had been doing 2 days of riding. It had a bog in it on the bottom end so we stopped by the trailer on the way back the 2nd night about 6:00.....they were out chatting and looking at sleds. We asked them if they could tell us anything about his cat 1000 or if they had heard of any issues with a bog.

He looked right at us and said "No I can't.....I don't have time!" Oh really, they were just standing around doing nothing. I mean he didn't even make an attempt or nothing. Just told us to get lost. Made the rest of the arctic cat owners in our group real proud. Think I'll stick with skidoo a little longer.

if these guys had the answers the units wouldn;t be in our hands with these problems in the first place...they just don;t know but won;t admit it...most answers come from the owners of these sleds and the manufacture learns from us...we do their r and d...

m8magic, your dead on there. see the heat shield below the pipe on the 08-09 M's, they sure didn't put it there because they thought it needed it!!! if they don't want to talk to peeps maybe they shouldn't be testing in public places...

I'm pretty familar with the Arctic Cat/Togwotee photo shoot. The guys you see running around, standing around and riding around for the most part are marketing and advertising guys. I think for most of them it is a challenge to change a belt and check the oil. The other thing is this is supposed to be a super top secret deal with the next year(2010) model sleds and if something leaks out some of these guys could lose their jobs. I agree it doesnt take much to be polite but they get hamered for info everywhere they go every time they stop, and I'm sure it gets old. Last year in November Polaris(my ride of choice) was testing at Togwotee for about six weeks and we got the same treatment from them every weekend. I'm pretty sure it's not in their job description to act that way it's just how they come across so people take the hint and leave them alone.

it goes with the territory

well then they should wear coveralls that have printed "im stupid" and "im with stupid and dummer yet"...then have a trouble shooting flip chart for the sleds that they can direct people to...because like Sandman says...stay out of the public areas if you can not be civil...otherwise be civil and truthful and say that you don;t have a clue but offer some sort of respectable alternative....THAT IS MARKETING AT ITS BEST..THAT IS THE TOP SECRET THAT ALL THESE OUTFITS SHOULD PROTECT..!!!!!..anyway it just goes with the territory...take my 13 grand ...if i see a trailer im taking a peek and maybee have a question..

And.....if its supposed to be secret......why do they drive the biggest decked out rigs with Arctic Cat ALL OVER it so people can't help but notice and go nosing around. They filled the parking lots like a spectacle.

its far from a secret, Cat has been going there for many many years, always the first week or two in Dec., locals seldom even notice them anymore

and there not testing, its just a photo op for next years accessory Catalog, some of those sleds are just props, I have seen 600's with 800 decals on one side and 700 on the other, so even if you get a good look at something, don't believe everything you see;)

and the the guys you asked for help may have just been hired security or truck drivers, or even models hired for the photo shoot

they own a test facility near Island Park ID, that's where the good stuff is:D

i've known and ridden with bret r. for a dozen years or more...not many more laid back and honest than him....don't think i've ever heard him knock on anyone....yes, his trailer has more cat stickers on it than any i've seen...he's had that trailer for many years as a dealer, hill climber and general promoter of cat products....i seriously doubt that who you talked to was him...whoever it was no doubt could have been more considerate....there's truely no excuse for being rude to a polite question from a customer....

Awwwwwwww, I got red apples and called a loser by someone who is a coward and can't sign their name.

I'd have WAY more respect for you if you stood up and signed your name.
It's just the internet...I don't care if you don't like me, but man up and show your face.

Whoever you are.....and like I said in my second post....I said that it's no big deal. Someone thinks I'm a loser for being sarcastic?
For cryin out loud...I'm sarcastic and a jokester....I've been doing that on here for 10 years....suck it up ya freakin baby.

I"ll probably get red apples for my post in prayer before sledding thread too. LOL. Someone will that THAT wrong or too seriously too I bet.

YRUSOLO-
I take offence to your comment. I work in the marketing/advertising industry and I can change my belt. I have a brown one and a black one. My wife lays it out with my clothes each morning. What’s this checking oil thing though?:D
