I don't get it! Do Cats VSB handlebar height adjustment system cause steering posts to list to one side?

Since my 09 M8 Sno Pro was new the steering post has listed to the left several degrees. I noticed it again the other day and thought, WTF?

Is there a way to fix this?

Is it just my sled?

Have any of you seen this as well?

Thanks Backcountry! I knew I couldn't be the only one.

Does anyone know of a way to straighten them up?

Thanks Jim, no what in the world is THAT?

It must be a 4" riser from someone like RSI, OLE or ROX?

Does it take the crookedness out of the handlebars? Are they now parallel with the ground?

Mine hangs to the left too, mainly because I always tend to eat the bars on that side when I wreck. Now they are straight, because I ate the bars on the throttle side last time!

I got a slightly used M1K steering post here on SW swapmeet, delivered to my house for $35. Then added the AMP 4" riser. I really like the setup, REAL tight bar to ski connection. The riser is like the rest of AMP proucts, its bomber beefy billet aluminum, feels stiff when you pull on the bars. The AMP riser also has a 15% forward lean so the riding postion is a lot better for stand up riding. Oh, yea, almost forgot - the list to the left still exists :( But - way less than with the adjustable post.

Thanks Jim.

I just wanted to know if there is any kind of adjustment that can be made to straighten up the steering post?

Maybe a shim of some sort?

mine looks straight, but is sloppy as hell.
not the adjustable riser but the u-bolt bushing and the base bushing on the tunnel.:(

There's a fix for the sloppiness and it helps but does not eliminate the sloppiness completely. SLP and BDX both have a kit than adds more bearing surface for the steering post.

So, how does one straighten up the steering post? I know mines not bent because every sno pro I have looked at all lean to the left like mine. Both demo sleds I rode had the same lean as well.
