Haven't seen anything on Irwin in a while.......We have a trip planned for 2/18-2/24 and wouldn't mind hitting CB for a couple of days if the snow is any good. Otherwise it will be GM, WC and Silverton.

I was out this morning. Went to the Y, Anthracites (snowboarded down), then back via Splains Gulch. We've gotten about 10" in the last 4 days. I hit a stump a week and a half ago (below Ruby, broken bumper), but otherwise its been getting alot better. I was up Washington Gulch (just north of CB) Monday/Tuesday and had a great time. If there is any new snow around the time you'll be coming out I'd say do it, I've been having alot of fun in the last couple weeks.

But MtnDoo is right, its a long drive and the parking isn't so great:face-icon-small-ton.

Thanks for the updates Fellas.... Kind of what I assumed. We'll probably head South and hit the Mesa later in the week.

Snow:face-icon-small-hap! Sooo far to drive, lotsa hippies that eat sledders, and crappy parking. No where near 30" of snow in the last 48 hours:face-icon-small-win. No one should ride the CB zones except those of us forced to live here:devil:.

In all seriousness, and only because I know most guys think CB is the farthest place to drive to in the state, its pretty awesome out there.

^^^^WOW, 30" from the last storm?!? Have you made it on the hill since the dumping? We may have to reconsider Silverton and drive the extra two hours to CB :face-icon-small-ton

I was out yesterday briefly. My coil died though so I wasn't having the best time. It was pretty sweet while the sled ran, and the snowboarding was insane. Irwin got about 4' in the last week, so its finally feeling like winter. Sunday on East aspects I had alot of widespread whumphing and several shooting cracks on the steeper pitches. We stayed on short slopes for boarding and nothing slid, but the larger terrain is about at critical mass... The trees are fun sledding though! And there's a chance of snow untill friday, when the sun might come out.
