Iraq Dinar (iraqi money)

Have any of you heard of this scam? I have a sister that sent in 350 american dollars for who knows how many dinar. Now she is emailing me telling me she is going to have enough money to buy a new escalade, house, 2 wheelers, 2 sleds, pay for her and her daughters college and have enough leftover to start some ira's and savings accounts to live on the rest of her life. She is so convinced of this that me and another sibling sent her links to websites that say its a scam and she says "they want you to think its a scam so not everyone will get rich" I cant believe she is this foolish and whoever talked her into it must be a great scam artist. I mean, they probably could have talked her into joining a cult. I feel bad for her daughter (my neice) more than her, she is 32 yrs old and should know better but her daughter (my neice) is only 6. If my sister is this easily scammed, what other harm could this person cause her and her family? She is leaving at 4 am to drive 400 miles to 1 of 4 banks in the US that can handle Dinar to cash in on her wealth. Uuuggghhh...cant wait for her reality check. Any of you heard of this?

Just Google "dinar scam" and you'll get a lot of info; sounds like you might have done that already, though...

Here is how it is. When i was in the desert i bought 7,000,000 Dinar. Before desert storm the dinar was worth around $3.50 american. after the war started it dropped to 1 american dollar was worth over 1,500 dinar. I bought all my dinar in 2004 and it has only gone up 2500 since i bought it. but the idea is that if the war ever ends that Iraqs economy will even out and the worth of the dinar will go up. people have been doing this throughout history with wars. She really has to make sure she gets the real stuff and that it does not have sadams face on it.

I have quite a few friends who went over for the war and did the same thing as chaser is talking about, but they got saddamoney and it's no good now..

Can I have her Phone number? I have a really great opportunity for some Ocean view land in the Everglades of Florida...

That's just messed up everyone knows that's BS, but I do have access to some of the very best ocean front property available in South Dakota if she's interested, it will be worth $$$$$$$ when the word gets out so get in on the ground floor. Forget an escalade she will be rollin' on a G5. "No more more frequent flyer b1tch miles for my boy!"

when I was there in 05 and 07 I bought close to 25k dinar for like ten bucks. some of the bills have saddam on it, but I didn't buy them to get rich. I bought them to bring back for some memories, and to give some to my family. I'm headed back next spring so I'll probably end up buying more of it this time around. Your average person has a better chance of buying precious metals or gems and bringing them back for a profit.
