iq shock question

I have an Iq dragon with coil over Fox Pro zeros shockes. Need input if they are better than the stock WE needle shockes? I was having a problem with the sled digging to the bottom, It would not get up on top of the snow.

Fox Zero Pro's are far superior to the stock WE shocks.

First, how are your shocks set up?

  • Do you have the correct spring size for your weight & riding style?
  • Have you set or adjusted your preload on the springs?
Also, check your limiter straps. Where are they connected?
Limiter straps have a huge affect of how much ski pressure you'll have.

The needles are a compression adjustable remote resevior shock and 'basically' the same this as a zero pro. Assuming both are setup with the same spring rate, preload, and dampening, they are going to act pretty much the same on the same sled. That being said, a change from one to the other isn't going to make a difference. The setting of those shocks sure will though. Yes, needles came stock on some assualts, but I wonder if the above poster is referencing true needles or not.

I run needles from SLP with 140 single rate springs from Tri-City with no sway-bar. The progressive springs imo require the sway-bar to stay in place. I've been really happy with them, especially for the price.
