does any body know how far you can go on a stock tank of gas? i'm tihinking of racing a cross country race and was wondering if i could go 30 miles between pit stops?

IMO no, especially running wide open.

the first tank of gas i ran through mine, before i put on the large tank....well, I made it about 16 miles before i ran out

440? how big is the stock tank? I rode an 04 sno-pro 440 out west last year. Still ran on 110 race fuel, and we rode the whole afternoon on one tank filled plum full (maybe 4.5 gallons). Of course your running lean at elevation but it was 6 hours of riding WFO.

i am riding the 08 600 with the 4 gallon tank....i put on the larger 8 gallon tank, but still need to care gas if i want to ride more than 40 miles...i have leaned it out a little, but it still eats the fuel

What gearing are you running x-country or sno-x

You would have to be hell a fast to be able to pit every 30 miles and even see the front runners

my gps said i went 24 miles before running out.
