IQ 700 Clutching RPM

My 700 RMK (07 model) only hits 8050 rpm and was wondering what I need to do to get I up to 8250 rpm?

It currently has 58g weights in the primary. Would a re-gearing bump the rpm's higher such as 19/42 ratio?

Engine compression is excellent and engine has 75 hours total time on it.

Elevation is 8,000-10,000 ft most of the time.

Everything is stock except for an SLP pipe and can.

Thanks!

what elevation you running @?
for raising the rpm, i'd dodge another gram or 2 from the weights and try that out.

We need some more information on your setup.

My setup on my 09 700 155:

SLP pipe and can
60g EPI weights
Blue/Pink primary spring
Black/Purple secondary spring
62/38 .40 Carl's helix
18/42 gears

Riding 5k-7K ft pulls 8200-8400 RPM & 38-42 MPH depending on snow

19/42 gearing is great for these 700s, I'm running 18/42 for doing a lot of tree riding and to get the feeling of more torque and snap on the bottom end out of the motor... it took some tuning, but I'm very happy now with my setup running the 18/42. Also the black/purple secondary spring was a big improvement over stock where the stock one would rev up to 8400 then fall off to 8100 and hold there, the black/purple holds the shift far better.
